Genius Style Overview (Limited)

Genius Style is a limited-time style built around defense control, smart positioning, and precision timing. It mixes off-ball pressure with creative on-ball plays that let you disrupt defenders and control the pace of the match. Because it is limited, players who want to unlock and master it should focus on it early during the update period.

Genius Style Base Abilities

Ability 1: Screen (Off Ball)

Screen lets you plant your character in a screening stance. If a defender runs into you, they are pushed back and briefly stopped. The screen lasts up to two seconds and ends once it connects.

A successful screen also gives you a speed boost, letting you reposition quickly or create space for teammates.

Ability 1.2: Slow IQ (On Ball)

Slow IQ is a flashy dribble move where you slip past a defender by going through their legs and knocking them down. After the move, you stay a step ahead, creating instant separation for a drive or pass.

This ability is strong for breaking tight defense and resetting offensive momentum.

Ability 2: Lockdown Target (Off Ball)

Lockdown Target is a tracking defense ability that mirrors an opponent’s movements when you are close enough.

While active, a timing mini-game appears three times. You must press the space bar at the right moment to maintain the lockdown. Each success keeps the defense active. Missing a timing check instantly breaks the lockdown and slows your character due to fatigue.

If the locked opponent tries to shoot or pass while fully controlled, the action is automatically intercepted, resulting in a steal.

Ability 3: Target Pass (On Ball)

Target Pass is a charge-based power pass. Holding the button fills a power bar:

• Perfect timing releases a blazing fast pass that knocks down anyone in its path
• Slightly early releases still send a strong pass without knockdown
• Holding too long weakens the pass, causing it to fall short and potentially turn into a loose ball

This ability rewards precise timing and awareness of teammate positioning.

Awakening Abilities

Awakening Ability: Disable (On Ball)

Disable transforms the court into a visible grid and reveals enemy abilities above their heads. A timing skill game appears, requiring an accurate space bar press. If successful, the nearest opponent has their abilities disabled for 10 seconds.

Missing the timing means no disable effect. After activation, you also gain a 15-second speed boost. This awakening ability is powerful for shutting down key opponents during critical plays.

Genius Zone Effects

The Genius Zone adds passive bonuses that improve defensive pressure and ball control:

• You can steal pump fakes
• Increased block range
• Stealing the ball boosts dribbling speed for 5 seconds

These bonuses make Genius Style especially strong for aggressive defenders.
