Tracking down every hidden Duck in Roblox The Abyss is one of the longest side objectives in the game, but it unlocks some of the best late-game gear. These Ducks are tied to Bob’s special quest, which rewards players with access to the Plunger Gun and the Bath Tube.

How to Start Bob’s Quest in The Abyss
Bob’s quest is not a standard mission with markers. To begin, travel to Bob’s secret room hidden behind Virelia. Knock on Bob’s door repeatedly until he appears. He will tell you that you need to find all hidden Ducks before he lets you enter.
Once every Duck is collected, return to Bob. He will open the room and allow you to buy the Plunger Gun and Bath Tube. Before searching, make sure you bring strong Tubes, useful Artifacts, and several Oxygen Pods, since some Ducks are located in deep zones.
1. Forgotten Deep Duck Locations
There are three Ducks in the Forgotten Deep. Two are easy to reach, while the third requires a deeper dive.
- The first Duck is sitting in a tree behind the table where the Abyss developers are gathered.
- Look behind the setup and you will spot it perched in the branches.
- The second Duck is inside a blue container located behind Billy and your portable stash.
- To enter the container, stand close to the opening and move sideways until you slip inside.
- The third Duck is found near the bottom right side of the map, south-southeast of the Forgotten Dome.
- It sits deep underwater, so make sure you have enough oxygen before heading down.
Ocean Duck Locations
The Ocean region contains four Ducks, most of them placed near important NPCs.
- The first Duck is inside Morveth’s Cave.
- Swim to the waterfall in the center and look behind a chest beneath it to find the Duck.
- For the second Duck, turn around from the waterfall and face the opposite direction.
- On a ledge to the right of Morveth and his monoliths, you will see another chest.
- Climb the rocks below to reach the ledge and grab the Duck.
- The third Duck is positioned directly behind the Diver NPC.
- Swim past him and check the small rock formation nearby.
- The fourth Duck sits above Bob’s secret room entrance.
- Once you reach the doorway, swim upward to the top and you will find a Duck and a chest waiting there.
Ancient Sands Duck Locations
Ancient Sands has three Ducks located fairly close to one another.
- The first Duck is inside Crazy Jeff’s store cave.
- Walk to the back of the cave and check behind a pillar on the right side of Jeff.
- A radio in front of it helps mark the spot.
- The second Duck is hidden inside Grumpy Hank’s tower.
- Enter the lighthouse and climb the ladders to the top.
- The Duck is tucked behind Hank’s couch.
- The third Duck is in the Crab Cave below the tower.
- Exit the lighthouse, head left, and descend until you reach the cave entrance.
- Follow the tunnel to the end to find the Duck along with chests and the scroll used for the Crab quest.
Spirit Roots Duck Locations
Spirit Roots is an end-game zone, so strong gear is recommended. Three Ducks are hidden here.
- The first Duck is behind Victor’s shop inside the main cave.
- You must complete the related questline and fully revive the Spirit Root tree to access this area.
- The second Duck is inside the hidden Golem’s Cave.
- After leaving the previous cave, turn sharply right and follow the path to a large cave entrance.
- Inside, take the left branch and continue until you see a smaller cave on the left.
- The Duck is beside the Golem, next to a chest.
- The third Duck is located at the far edge of the map, near an area blocked by rocks that may open in a future update.
- Look on a ledge above the sealed section to find it.
Angler’s Cave Duck Locations
The final two Ducks are both inside Angler’s Cave.
- One Duck is directly behind the Lightkeeper NPC.
- Walk around his stall to pick it up.
The last Duck is in the center of the cave, hidden between two large rocks with a chest beside it.
Claiming Bob’s Rewards
After collecting every Duck across all regions, return to Bob’s secret room and knock again. He will finally grant you access and unlock his shop, where you can purchase the Plunger Gun and Bath Tube.
