Slayerbound offers two main combat paths for players: Slayer Styles for traditional sword-based combat and Demon Arts for those who embrace the Oni powers. Each path has unique skills, combos, and strengths that can greatly affect PvE, boss fights, and PvP. Understanding the differences and how to obtain them will help you optimize your gameplay. Slayerbound Styles & Demon Arts Tier List
S Tier – Best Overall
- Thunder Style (Slayer): Fast combos, high burst, unblockable attacks, good mobility.
- Shockwave (Demon): Balanced damage, dodge mode, strong in PvE and PvP.
A Tier – Strong and Reliable
- Flame Style (Slayer): Burst combos, unblockable skills, passive M1 bonus.
- String (Demon): Technical play with grapples and temporary damage buffs.
B Tier – Situational
- Water Style (Slayer): Balanced and beginner-friendly, steady damage.
- Arrow (Demon): Multi-hit combos, requires timing, slower cooldowns.
C Tier – Niche
- Wind Style (Slayer): High-damage finisher, passive currently unreliable.
- Swamp (Demon): More utility than damage, less popular for farming.
What Are Styles?
Styles, also called Breathing Styles, are combat systems for Slayers. Each style has its own move set, training quest, and gameplay focus. Currently, there are four obtainable Styles:
- Water
- Flame
- Thunder
- Wind
How to Obtain Each Slayer Style Trainer Location Map
Water Style

- Location: Near the large wheat fields, under a waterfall.
- Requirements: Complete a parkour challenge and break a rock; each attempt costs 2000 Yen.
- Focus: Balanced sword techniques with steady damage and cooldowns. Key skills include Surface Slash, Water Wheel, and Whirlpool.
Flame Style

- Location: Along the main path from spawn.
- Requirements: Collect 40 Oni Horns and complete a training trial with Onis and breathing pose sequences.
- Focus: Burst damage and combo starters. Passive skill boosts M1 attacks.
Thunder Style

- Location: Small mountain near the first farm area.
- Requirements: Gather wheat and eggs to prepare a treat for the trainer.
- Focus: High-speed dash attacks and heavy burst damage. Skills like Thunderclap and Flash allow fast combos and strong mobility.
Wind Style

- Location: Sea Village.
- Requirements: Farm two Giga Horn drops from a boss inside the Demon Camp.
- Focus: Quick slashes with a single high-damage finisher. Passive is currently unreliable.
What Are Demons and How to Become One?
Demon Arts are special abilities available only to players who become Demons. Demons grow stronger by consuming corpses and blood. How to Become a Demon:
- Enter the Armored Demon Cave.
- Turn right to find the ??? Dealer NPC.
- Buy Demon Blood for 1,000 zeni. Drinking another Demon Blood allows you to switch Demon Arts without Robux.
Demon Arts Overview
Shockwave
- Balanced damage with dodge-focused mode. Excellent for raids and PvP.
Arrow
- Multi-hit ranged pressure with decent damage but longer cooldowns. Performs well in extended fights with good timing.
String
- Grapples and damage buff mode. Strong for combo setups and close combat control.
Swamp
- Utility-focused with lower damage. Offers control skills, but less effective for fast farming.
The best Style or Demon Art depends on your combat preference, but Thunder Style and Shockwave Demon Art are currently the strongest for most players. They combine mobility, burst damage, and flexible combos, making them ideal for both PvE and PvP. Every option can still be effective with the right strategy.
