If you just started playing Abyss, you will quickly run into an NPC named Henry who asks you to find a special item called the Crab Scroll. This item is important because it unlocks a hidden quest line and lets you interact with the mysterious crab inside Henry’s shop.

What is Crab Scroll?

The Crab Scroll is required to activate a secret quest chain. Without it, you cannot properly talk to the crab standing next to Henry. Once you return the scroll, the crab will start speaking clearly and give you a new job request that opens more hidden content. Because the scroll is located in a deep cave, preparation is important before you start searching.

Before traveling to the scroll location, upgrade your diving gear to increase your oxygen capacity. The cave sits at around 370 meters deep, which is dangerous for beginners. Try to use stronger equipment like the Zepline Tube. These upgrades make it much safer to reach the cave without running out of oxygen.

Crab Scroll Location Step-by-Step

The Crab Scroll is hidden in the Ancient Sands biome, which is the second biome in the game. Follow these steps:

1. Teleport to Ancient Sands Use the teleporter in the starter biome and travel to Ancient Sands. You will spawn near Crazy Jeff’s shop.
2. Go to the Waterfall Swim toward the nearby waterfall and pass directly through it.
3. Turn Right Into the Tunnels After passing the waterfall, turn right and move through the tunnel system.
4. Reach Grumpy Hank’s Tower Exit the tunnels and you will arrive near Grumpy Hank’s tower.
5. Jump Down the Cliff Behind the tower, find a cliff and jump down carefully. While falling, watch the cliff wall.
6. Enter the Hidden Cave Halfway down the cliff, you will see a small cave opening. Swim inside and follow the cave to the end.
7. Collect the Crab Scroll At the end of the cave, you will find a crab statue holding the scroll. Press the interaction key to pick it up.

How to Complete the Crab Quest

After getting the scroll, return to the Forgotten Dome biome and head back to Henry’s Harpoon Shop. Talk to Henry and choose the first dialogue option to give him the Crab Scroll. Then interact with the crab beside him. This time, the crab will speak clearly and assign you a new job request. That moment officially starts the hidden Crab Quest line.
