The Microphone Rod is a free limited rod you can unlock by finishing a short quest chain in Fisch. It starts with a Twitch viewer NPC and leads you through a hidden island puzzle, a secret hideout, and a small repair mini-quest. The process is simple once you know the steps, but a few parts are easy to miss. This guide walks through the full method so you can unlock the Microphone Rod without wasting time. Microphone Rod Stats and Features
The Microphone Rod has these base stats:
- Lure Speed: 100%
- Luck: 80%
- Resilience: 30%
- Max Weight: 200 kg
- Control: 0
It is not a top-tier rod for heavy fishing, but it has a unique music-themed mutation effect. You may notice more shiny, sparkling, or special “amped” fish with music note visuals. It is mainly a fun collector rod and a limited event reward. Upgrading it with enchants improves performance and makes it more usable for regular fishing.
How to Start the Twitch Viewer Quest
First, find the Twitch viewer NPC and talk to them. They will ask you to catch three items:
- Puffer Fish: Fish anywhere in the ocean. It can take a few tries, but it spawns through normal ocean fishing.
- Mushroom Grove Crab: Go to Mushgrove Swamp and place crab cages. Open the cages after they fill to get the crab.
- Rubber Ducky: Fish in the duck spawn area (public servers often help since events can boost spawns). Keep casting until you hook the rubber ducky.
You must catch these yourself for the quest to count. After collecting all three, return to the NPC.
Hidden Puzzle on Earmark Island
The NPC sends you to a secret location on Earmark Island (X: 1240, Y: 147, Z: 510).. Inside a cave, you will find three fish pedestals. Place the items like this:
- Put the Rubber Ducky on its marked pedestal.
- Place the Puffer Fish on the second pedestal.
- Find the last pedestal underwater and place the Mushroom Grove Crab.
Many players miss the underwater pedestal. Dive down near the others to spot it. Once all three are placed, a hidden passage opens.
Enter the Streamer Hideout
Go through the newly opened path to reach the Streamer Hideout. Inside, you will see a door that requires a Clout Carp and a second player. You need another player fishing with you in that room. Catch a Clout Carp together and place it to unlock the next area. You can invite a friend or wait for someone to join you.
Fix the Streamer Equipment
Inside the final room, talk to the streamer NPC. Your task is to repair broken equipment. Walk around and interact with:
- Loose cables
- Broken dials
- Other glowing repair points
There are 13 objects to fix. Check corners and equipment racks carefully so you do not miss any. After repairing everything, interact with the router to finish the job. Talk to the streamer again, and you will receive the Microphone Rod.
The Microphone Rod quest in Fisch mixes fishing, puzzles, and a short co-op challenge. Once you know where to place the fish and how to access the hideout, the whole process takes around 20–30 minutes. Even though the rod is not the strongest in the game, it is free, limited, and has a unique style that makes it worth adding to your collection.
