All Tracy NPC Upgrades in Mewgenics Explained Guide!

If you’ve been spending time building your cat house in Mewgenics, you’ve probably met Tracy and noticed that she offers a long upgrade chain. Her rewards can quietly shape how your runs and breeding system work, especially in the early and mid game. Understanding what she gives and when to level her up makes progression much smoother.

Tracy asks for cats that are age five or older, which makes her one of the easiest NPCs to level. You can simply keep extra cats around and let them age. Her reward chain has 20 levels. The first level needs one cat, and every level after that requires 10 cats.

How Tracy’s Reward System Works

Tracy’s 20 rewards are split into three main categories:

  • Food storage furniture
  • Blank class colors
  • Special idol furniture

After finishing all 20 levels, her quest becomes repeatable and turns into a late-game farming option.

1. Food Locker Upgrades (Levels 1–19 Odd Levels)

On every odd level from 1 to 19, Tracy stocks a food locker in her shop. Each one costs 100 coins and increases your maximum food capacity by 40 when placed in your house. There are 10 food lockers in total. Once you buy and place all of them, your maximum food reaches 500. This is a big boost for long breeding sessions and helps support larger cat populations without constant food pressure.

2. Blank Colors for Extra Class Variety (Levels 2, 6, 10)

At levels 2, 6, and 10, Tracy unlocks blank colors that cost 150 coins each. These are permanent upgrades that affect your class selection during adventures. Each blank color randomly transforms into one of your unlocked classes at the start of a run.

With all three unlocked, you begin every adventure with three random extra class slots. In rare cases, they can all roll the same class, letting you stack multiple copies for unusual team builds. The class is decided only after you leave the house, so you must adapt your strategy to whatever appears.

3. Idol Furniture Rewards (Levels 4–20 Even Levels)

The remaining seven rewards are idols, special two-tile statues that boost room stats. Their order is random for every save file. Each idol costs 150 coins.

  • Idol of Health Adds +5 health to a room. This lowers the chance of old age death, reduces disease risk, and improves recovery from illnesses.
  • Idol of Stimulation Adds +5 stimulation. Higher stimulation improves kitten quality by increasing the chance of inheriting strong parent stats.
  • Idol of Chastity Adds +5 comfort but prevents breeding in that room. It is useful for population control or stabilizing crowded houses.
  • Idol of Appeal Adds +5 appeal to your house. This improves the quality of stray cats that visit your door.
  • Idol of Comfort Adds +5 comfort without blocking breeding. It pairs well with stimulation for optimized breeding rooms.
  • Idol of Chaos Reduces comfort by 5 but makes fights more dangerous. Winners gain +2 to a random stat instead of +1. Some players use it to create a fighting room to power up selected cats.
  • Idol of Evolution Adds +5 mutation. This increases the chance of overnight mutations, useful for breeding rare traits or enhancing adventure cats.

4. Infinite Rewards After Level 20

Once Tracy reaches level 20, her quest becomes repeatable. Every time you deliver another set of 10 old cats, she stocks a random rare item at a very low price the next day. This becomes a strong late-game farming method for valuable gear.

Best Strategy for Leveling Tracy

A practical approach is to rush Tracy to level 10 first. This gives you all food lockers and the three blank colors early, which greatly improves breeding and team flexibility. After that, you can shift focus to other NPCs and return later to finish her idol collection.

Tracy’s upgrades mainly strengthen your long-term house management and run variety. Investing in her early creates a stable foundation that makes the rest of your progression easier and more flexible.
