The Skill Tree is a new progression system that lets you customize your character with permanent stat boosts. To unlock it, you need to visit the Skill Tree NPC on Slime Island. There are two requirements before you can buy access:

• Reach at least level 7,500
• Have the required gems to purchase the system

• Guardian Rune Grants 39% bonus health and a 1.39× damage multiplier at base. When maxed, it increases to 59% health and 1.59× damage.
• Frost Rune Stuns enemies for 2 seconds and deals 30% impact damage. At max level, the stun lasts 3 seconds and impact damage rises to 44%.
• Destruction Rune Provides a 25% damage buff and 1.25× multiplier. When maxed, it increases to 37% and 1.37×.
• Inferno Rune Applies a burn effect for 4 seconds that deals 70% damage. When maxed, burn damage increases to 104%.
• Blood Rune Inflicts bleed for 5 seconds with 65% damage. At max level, bleed damage becomes 97%.
• Wrath Rune Gives a 40% damage buff and 1.40× multiplier. When maxed, it rises to 59% and 1.59×. This is one of the best runes for pure damage builds.
• Fortune Rune Boosts luck by 10% at base and 15% when maxed. This rune is ideal for farming and drop-focused builds.

Best Runes to Use

For maximum damage, Wrath Rune and Destruction Rune are the top choices. Players focused on farming rare items should prioritize the Fortune Rune. Defensive builds benefit more from Suppression or Guardian depending on survivability needs.
