All Star Fishing NPC Guide, Full Locations, Quest Requirements, and Rewards!

Progress in Star Fishing is not only about pulling rare Stars from the water. A huge part of your growth comes from completing NPC quests. These quests unlock new fishing zones, stronger rods, exclusive tools, and massive cash rewards. One common mistake many players make is selling every rare Star they catch. Later on, an NPC might suddenly request that exact item.

If you already sold it, you will need to grind again. To help you avoid that problem, here is a complete breakdown of every NPC, their location, what they require, and what you earn after finishing their quests. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!

Star Town NPCs

Electrician

Location: Near the Star Town Fast Travel point, across from the Magic Shop.

Quest Requirements:

• 5 Asteroids
• 2 Hydrogen Stars
• 5 Gold Asteroids
• 3 Comets

Rewards:

• $3,000 Cash
• 100 Gems
• 100 EXP

Bill

Location: Inside Star Town, standing near the Magic Shop entrance.

Quest Requirement:

• Catch 5,000 Stars

Rewards:

• 1 Mysterios Orb
• 250 Gems
• 250 EXP

This is a long-term milestone quest that rewards active players.

Mary

Location: Near the Andromeda fishing area, in front of a burning house.

Mary offers three progressive quests.

Quest 1

• 3 Asteroids
• 2 Gold Asteroids
• 2 Orange Dwarfs
  Reward: $1,000 Cash, 100 Gems, 100 EXP

Quest 2

• 5 Orange Dwarfs
• 5 Ice Comets
  Reward: $2,500 Cash, 100 Gems, 250 EXP

Quest 3

• 7 Ice Comets
• 2 Ultraviolets
• 15 Comets
  Reward: $7,500 Cash, 100 Gems, 500 EXP

Wizard

Location: On the path leading toward the Craft Rings platform.

The Wizard focuses on crafting rings. Each quest requires crafting a specific ring type using three Stars of the same rarity.

Ring Crafting Quests:

• Common Ring – $1,500, 100 Gems
• Uncommon Ring – $1,500, 100 Gems
• Rare Ring – $2,000, 100 Gems
• Epic Ring – $3,000, 100 Gems
• Legendary Ring – $5,000, 10 Gems
• Mythic Ring – $5,000, 100 Gems
• Interstellar Ring – $20,000, 100 Gems

Each quest also grants 50 EXP.

Gilbert

Location: Next to the Andromeda fishing zone.

Gilbert’s Magic Tree questline includes six stages. He requests combinations of Orange Dwarfs, Heliums, Ultraviolets, Red Giants, Collapsars, X-Ray Binary Stars, and Unstable Stars.

Final Rewards:

• Up to $50,000 Cash
• 500 Gems
• 10,000 EXP

Completing this entire questline spawns the Magic Tree and unlocks Mini Merlin.

Star Merchant

Location: Near the Milky Way fishing zone.
Function: Buys Stars for cash. No quests available.

Blacksmith

Location: To the right of The Eye spawn point.
Function: Purchases crafted rings. No quests.

Observatory NPC

DaVinky

Location: Inside the Observatory. Cross the wooden bridge from the Andromeda area and climb the ladder.

DaVinky offers a four-part questline to build a Telescope.

Required items include:

• Collapsars
• Ultraviolets
• X-Ray Binary Stars
• Technetium Stars
• Quasar Cores
• Hydrogen Stars
• Blue Supergiants
• Molecular Clouds
• Black Holes

Final Rewards:

• $85,000 Cash
• 100 Gems
• 3,000 EXP

Cave and Centaurus A Area

Cave Miner

Location: At the Cave Entrance Fast Travel point.

Quest Requirements:

• 30 Technetium Stars
• 1 Molecular Cloud
• 15 Quasar Cores
• 30 Comets

Rewards:

• $35,000 Cash
• 200 Gems
• 10,000 EXP

Completing this unlocks the Centaurus A fishing area.

The Guardian

Location: Inside Centaurus A Cave.

Crystal Cave Quest Requirements:

• 1 Blue Supergiant
• 1 Black Hole
• 50 Heliums
• 1 Nebula
• 100 Hydrogen Stars

Rewards:

• $125,000 Cash
• 100 Gems
• 15,000 EXP

Unlocks the Crystal Rod and Crystal Bobber.

Library and Magic Island

Librarian

Location: Inside the Library beyond the Cave.

This is a three-stage questline requiring:

• Quasar Cores
• Blue Giants
• Red Giants
• Blue Supergiants
• The First Lights
• Nebulas
• $1,000,000 for the final key

Completing it unlocks the Frozen Flame Rod area.

Bridge Builder

Location: Left side of the Library.

Requirement: Pay $500,000

This repairs the bridge leading to Magic Island.

Enron Castle Questline

Sir Knightly Knightman

Location: Magic Island gate.

Requires:

• Black Holes
• Quasar Cores
• The First Lights

Unlocks Enron Castle and the Negative Galaxy fishing zone.

Supreme Knightlier Knightman

Location: Inside Enron Castle.

Quest Requirement: Capture Mini Merlin from the Magic Tree.

Unlocks the King’s Manor.

Goobertholomew VII

Location: King’s Manor inside Enron Castle.

King’s Key Quest Requirements:

• Millisecond Pulsars
• Antares
• Nove Persei 1901
• Red Supergiants
• Protoplanetary Disks

Reward:

• Dark Stone Key
• Access to Shadow Crypts (Crimson Rod and Crimson Bobber)

Star Fishing continues to expand with new NPCs and questlines added regularly. Many late-game requirements are extremely rare, especially in areas like Enron Castle and Shadow Crypts. Instead of selling every valuable Star immediately, consider storing rare finds for future quests.

Tracking NPC requirements early will save hours of grinding later. If you plan your inventory carefully and focus on long questlines step by step, you will unlock advanced rods, secret zones, and high-tier rewards much faster than players who rush without planning.
