Bloodlines Senju Progression Guide: How to Unlock Wood Style (All Clans) & Deep Forest Emergence!

Wood Style is one of the strongest elemental paths in Bloodlines. While it is naturally tied to the Senju clan, any player can unlock basic Wood Style if they meet the requirements. However, full Senju progression and Deep Forest Emergence are exclusive to Senju players. This guide explains everything step-by-step, from unlocking Wood Style to reaching full Senju endgame progression.

Part 1: How to Unlock Wood Style (Available to All Clans)

To begin, you must find the Wise Tree quest giver located near the Permafrost Plains choke point. Memorize the route because you will return here multiple times.

Before the Wise Tree gives you the quest, you must meet several requirements.

Wood Style Requirements

Wood Style is a combination element (Water + Earth). You must:

• Fully unlock the Water skill path
• Fully unlock the Earth skill path
• Be a Senju OR have a Senju arm implanted
• Have some Water and Earth XP

If the Wise Tree says your mastery is weak, you simply need more XP. Use Water and Earth skills on enemies until the requirement is met.

How Non-Senju Players Get Senju DNA

If you are not born Senju, you must implant a Senju arm.

Step 1: Get a Scalpel

Scalpels drop from:

• Bosses
• Corrupted points

They are rare, so expect some grinding.

Step 2: Steal a Senju Arm

• Find a Senju player (they have the Senju symbol on their back).
• Use the scalpel to steal their arm.
• It may fail. If it fails, that player cannot lose their arm again until they age up.

Important:

• You gain sin for stealing arms. Do not exceed 25 sin or you will be exiled and become rogue.
• You cannot steal from players with Archer’s Blessing.

Step 3: Implant the Arm

Go to the implant NPC (Gabbudo).

• Remove your current arm first.
• Hold the torn Senju arm.
• Pay the required Rio to implant it.

If you are already Senju by birth, you can skip all of this.

Unlocking Earth Scroll (Important Step)

To fully unlock Earth path:

• Go to Passageway.
• Use Earth skills a few times.
• Complete the platform challenge.
• Grab the Earth Scroll at the end.

After picking it up, platforms disappear, so use Earth abilities carefully to avoid falling.

Evergreen Heart Quest (Wood Style Unlock)

Once all requirements are met, the Wise Tree gives you a quest:

You must retrieve the Evergreen Heart from the Wooden Golem boss.

How to Enter Wooden Golem Boss Room

1. Buy a Torch (25 Rio) at Bio Bay.
2. Light it using Amaterasu flames.
3. Use the torch to open the boss gate.

Alternatively:

• EMS users can burn the gate.
• Some abilities allow bypassing it.

Fighting the Wooden Golem

Important tips:

• Keep distance to read his attacks.
• Perfect block his Wooden Dragon.
• Jump over Wooden Roots.
• Do NOT block his stomp. Jump instead.
• Learn Wooden Spire timing.

Bring teammates. If you die while holding a scalpel, you lose it.

After defeating him:

• Use the scalpel to remove the Evergreen Heart.
• Return it to the Wise Tree.

This unlocks Wood Style for all eligible players.

You can also trade for the Evergreen Heart instead of fighting the boss.

Part 2: Senju Exclusive Progression

From this point forward, progression is Senju-only.

First, unlock these Wood skills:

• Wooden Roots
• Wooden Spire
• Wood Dragon
• Wood Seal

If the Wise Tree says “The wood will remember your name,” you need more Wood XP. Use Wood moves on NPCs or players to gain it.

Quest: Seal Three Bosses

You must seal three boss-room bosses (not mission bosses).

How to Seal a Boss

1. Break their armor (lower HP).
2. Quickly land three Wood moves (each applies a wood stack).
3. Use Wood Seal while they have 3 stacks.

Wood stacks expire quickly, so be fast.

After sealing three bosses, return to the Wise Tree.

You unlock:

• Senju Infinity
• Wood Suppression
• Branchhold (harder for others to steal your arm)
• Limb Spring (regrow arm after aging once)

Final Senju Quest: Seal a Tailed Beast

This is endgame content.

Currently, the only tailed beast is Shukaku.

Finding Shukaku

• Go to Chucker’s Edge.
• Enter his arena when he spawns (random timing).
• Or give his tail to the Beast Tamer to force spawn him.

Bring at least 4–5 players. This is a raid boss.

How to Seal Shukaku

After defeating him:

• He will be down briefly.
• Use Wood Seal on him during that window.

Return to the Wise Tree again.

You will receive:

• Second Senju Affinity
• Deep Forest Emergence unlock

Note: Deep Forest Emergence has a very long cooldown.

Wood Style is one of the strongest elemental paths in Bloodlines, and any clan can access its base version with enough preparation. However, full Senju progression requires dedication, boss knowledge, and teamwork. If you are new, do not rush Deep Forest Emergence. Senju is already powerful before endgame unlocks. Focus on mastering Wood Suppression and sealing mechanics first. Once you reach Deep Forest Emergence, you unlock one of the most powerful large-scale abilities in the game, making you a true endgame Senju.
