All New Class in 99 Night in The Forest Guide
D Tier – Feaster (150 Diamonds)
Feaster is easily the weakest of the new additions.
You start with five stews, and the entire class revolves around constantly eating food. When you eat while already full, you fill an “overeating” meter that gives:
-
Temporary sprint speed boost
-
Slight melee damage increase
-
Small chance for a permanent +2 health boost
The problem is simple. The buff duration is extremely short. You need to keep eating every few seconds to maintain it.
In team games, this creates a major issue. A Feaster player will consume most of the campfire food just to keep their buffs active. That hurts team survival and resource management.
For 150 diamonds, the value just isn’t there.
B Tier – Gunslinger (600 Diamonds)
Gunslinger is powerful, but very grind-heavy.
You begin with a Long Revolver and 60 ammo. At first, it behaves like a standard revolver. The upgrade system works through a target list, similar to hunting challenges. By killing specific enemies, you unlock weapon upgrades.
The most important upgrades are:
-
Increased damage
-
Explosive bullet chance
Maxing these perks takes a long time. You’ll need to eliminate around 100 cultists and multiple strong enemies. This grind often pushes you beyond Day 99.
Once upgraded, the revolver delivers high DPS. However, ammo efficiency becomes a problem. Even bringing over 100 bullets is not always enough during stronghold runs. You will rely heavily on ammo crates.
Strong damage, but high maintenance.
A Tier – Grenader (100 Diamonds)
Grenader is arguably the best value class in the entire update.
For only 100 diamonds, you start with:
-
Dynamite
-
10 impact grenades
Grenades have no cooldown, allowing rapid clears against wolves, cultists, and even alpha packs. Dynamite can instantly wipe early threats, making kid rescues much safer.
Key advantages:
-
Clears strongholds quickly
-
Can damage enemies through walls
-
Grenades found easily in chests
-
Chance to receive explosive ammo from ammo boxes
Explosive rifle rounds are especially strong, reducing barrier destruction from four shots to three.
Grenader is consistent, affordable, and powerful in nearly every situation.
S Tier – Nightcrawler (200 Diamonds)
Nightcrawler is the most unique class in the update.
You start with a dagger, which is weak and has short range. Upgrading to a spear early is highly recommended.
The real strength activates at night:
-
Increased melee and ranged damage
-
Night vision
-
Massive sprint speed boost
-
Reduced enemy detection range
The damage bonus is moderate (around 10%), but the sprint speed is the real game-changer. You can explore safely, escape danger easily, and complete objectives faster.
During daytime, all buffs disappear. That’s the trade-off.
Nightcrawler rewards smart timing and aggressive nighttime play.
Best Class in 99 Nights in the Forest
S-Tier
- Gunslinger: Gunslinger is one of the most reliable damage classes. You start with a Revolver that becomes stronger as you score more kills, turning every fight into permanent progress. The scaling damage makes this class deadly in longer runs, especially if you play aggressively and keep a steady kill streak.
- Brute: Pretty good for kiting and tanking the enemies!
- Vampire – Best Class for Solo Run!
- Undead: Best solo class thanks to its self-revive ability — hard to kill and perfect for surviving alone.
- Necromancer: Summons allies by killing cultists, making fights easier. Great in both solo and co-op play.
- Fire Bandit: Amazing fire damage and loot potential. Starter gear includes Infernal Crossbow and Wildfire Potion.
- Big Game Hunter: Gains permanent buffs from pelts and tusks, scaling better than most classes over time.
- Chef: Food buffs give huge boosts in late-game survival. Excellent for both solo and team play.
- Poison Master ( – 200 Diamonds): Uses poison attacks that spread between enemies. Gets deadlier the longer fights last.
- Base Defender: Turns your camp into a fortress. Defenses deal more damage, perfect for holding your ground.
- Berserker: Revives after death with low HP and gets stronger as health drops. Ideal for aggressive players.
- Ranger (70 Diamonds): Reliable ranged damage with ammo-saving perks and a revolver for long fights.
- Assassin (500 Diamonds): Fast, deadly, and precise. High crits and speed but low HP — for skilled players only.
- Pyromaniac ( – 600 Diamonds): Top fire-based class. Clears crowds easily with burn damage and high mobility.
A-Tier
- Nightcrawler: Nightcrawler focuses on burst damage and stealth. It uses a Shadow Dagger and gains major bonuses while fighting in darkness. When the environment is dim or lights are out, this class becomes extremely dangerous and can eliminate enemies quickly.
- Explorer: Good for new players to start the game!
- The Witch (900 Candies): Throw Potion to Enemies
- Beastmaster: Can tame wolves to fight beside you, but they need food to stay active.
- Zookeeper (70 Diamonds): Tames and heals animals faster. Great for building a pet army.
- Medic (40 Diamonds): Revives teammates 5× faster and restores more HP and hunger. A must-have for team runs.
- Cook (40 Diamonds): Cooks food 20% faster and gives better hunger recovery. Reliable for long survivals.
- Lumberjack (70 Diamonds): Gathers more wood and saplings, making base building much faster.
B-Tier
- Grenadier is built around explosive damage. You start with grenades and dynamite, and enemies or chests may drop extra explosives. This allows you to clear groups of enemies fast and control space better than most classes.
- Support: Boosts ally damage and defense in co-op but less useful when playing solo.
- Scavenger (20 Diamonds): Finds more loot, opens chests faster, and carries extra items.
- Camper (10 Diamonds): Reduces hunger drain and improves night vision — perfect for beginners.
- Fisherman (): Helps with fishing and resource gathering but weak in combat.
- Gambler: Risky pick with unpredictable results — can be rewarding or ruin your progress.
C-Tier
- Feaster is centered on survival and stat growth through food. Eating different types of food increases your maximum health, and overeating past full hunger gives extra stat boosts. Over time, this can turn you into a durable tank.
- Trick of Treater: Useful only during Halloween, Increase Candy Gain
- Santa Helper: Useful only during Christmas, Increase Candy Gain
If you value defense and teamwork, Base Defender and Medic are unmatched. For raw damage, go with Berserker or Assassin. Resource-focused players will thrive as Lumberjack or Scavenger, while beginners can start strong with Camper. Your Diamond investment should match your preferred playstyle—whether you want to be the team’s shield, its sword, or its lifeline in 99 Nights in the Forest!
