The Cursed Child character is finally playable in Jujutsu Shenanigans, but unlocking it is tied directly to Jump Showdown. If you’re confused about where to start, this guide explains exactly how to unlock Cursed Child (Chara), how Vessel works, and how to properly use the new moveset once you get it. If you only care about Cursed Child in Jujutsu Shenanigans, you still need to complete a boss requirement in Jump Showdown first. Also check out our Jujutsu Shenanigans Codes for more rewards!
How to Unlock Cursed Child
Step 1: Join Jump Showdown
When you load into Jump Showdown, look at the bottom-right corner of your screen. You’ll see the server time. A boss spawns every:
- 30 minutes
- 1 hour
- 1 hour 30 minutes
- 2 hours
Each spawn has a 50% chance of being:
- Chara
- Heian Sukuna
You want Heian Sukuna for the easiest badge progress.
Step 2: Deal Damage to the Boss
You do NOT need to be top 3 in damage.
As long as you:
- Deal some damage
- Participate in the fight
You will receive the badge once the boss is defeated. That badge unlocks Cursed Child (Chara) inside Jujutsu Shenanigans. Important: This must be done in a public server. Private servers do not count toward badge progress.
How to Unlock Vessel (Optional)
If you also want Vessel in Jump Showdown:
- Go to the train station underground portal.
- Find the knife that spawns there.
- Pick it up and become the boss.
- Get at least one kill while transformed.
If a boss is already active in another server, you may need to grab the heart item instead and secure a kill with it.
Again, private servers will not count.
Playing Cursed Child in Jujutsu Shenanigans
Once you earn the badge:
- Rejoin Jujutsu Shenanigans.
- Select Cursed Child from the character menu.
The moveset is very similar to what you may have seen in Jump Showdown.
Cursed Child Moves Overview
Base Moves
- Lethal Wound
- Slide-based mobility attack
- Bloody Mary (requires proper camera positioning)
- Defense reduction special
- Counter ability (Split Katana style counter that deals percent damage)
Some abilities require precise aiming. For example:
- Certain backward dash moves require you to turn your character first, then rotate your camera to get full distance.
- Counter timing is important — you must activate it just before impact.
Awakening & Domain Mechanics
Cursed Child has an awakening mode similar to other high-tier characters.
During awakening:
- You gain improved damage output.
- Certain cutscenes restore health.
- Special domain-style effects impact large areas of the map.
Boss fights can get chaotic, especially when multiple players are spamming abilities. Focus on:
- M1 pressure for consistent damage
- Proper counter timing
- Avoiding domain overlaps
Boss Fight Tips
Since everyone rushes the boss:
- Stay slightly outside the main crowd.
- Poke damage safely instead of overcommitting.
- Watch for lock-on attacks.
- Don’t tunnel vision — survival matters more than damage ranking.
You only need contribution damage, not MVP.
Is Cursed Child Worth It?
If you enjoy aggressive, counter-based gameplay, Cursed Child feels strong and flexible. The kit rewards good timing and positioning. However, fights can feel overwhelming during large boss events, especially when multiple awakenings trigger at once. Still, for a collaboration unlock character, the kit feels complete and competitive.
Unlocking Cursed Child requires timing the boss spawn in Jump Showdown and participating in the fight. Once you secure the badge, you can fully access the character inside Jujutsu Shenanigans.
If you’re planning to unlock both Vessel and Cursed Child, prepare for multiple boss rotations. Keep an eye on server time, stay in public servers, and secure your contribution damage. Once unlocked, mastering counters and awakening timing will separate average players from strong Cursed Child mains.
