Anime Paradox 1.5 Update Guide – Autoplay, Secret Unit & Codes!

The 1.5 update in Anime Paradox is one of the most important patches the game has received so far. While it may not add massive amounts of new content, the quality-of-life improvements completely change how players grind, especially for portals and long matches. This guide covers everything you need to know: new units, secret rates, autoplay mode, evolution changes, and current bugs. Also check out our Anime Paradox Codes for more rewards!

Update 1.5 Overview

Here’s what was added in this patch:

  • 6 New Units: 5 Mythic units & 1 Secret unit
  • Major Autoplay system
  • Huge evolution requirement reduction
  • Domain fixes and balance changes
  • UI and performance improvements
  • Restart and End Match buttons

Even though it’s called 1.5, this update feels closer to a full rework in terms of system improvements.

Secret Unit Drop Rate (Harder Than Paradox?)

One of the most surprising parts of the update is the summon rate.

  • Secret Unit: 0.04%
  • Paradox Unit: 0.05%

Yes, the Secret unit is technically rarer than the Paradox unit. Whether this is intentional or not, the odds make it one of the hardest units to pull in the game.

If you’re planning to summon, expect a serious grind.

Evolution Requirement Massive Reduction

This is one of the biggest changes in the patch.

Previously:

  • Mega Main Evolution required 25 wheels

Now:

  • It only requires 1 wheel

This is a huge improvement, especially for mobile players. The grind was reduced dramatically, saving players large amounts of currency and time.

New Units in 1.5

The update adds several new characters, including:

  • Choso
  • Toji
  • Additional Mythic units
  • 1 Secret unit

To obtain them, the method remains the same:

  • Farm portals repeatedly
  • Summon as usual

There are no new evolution materials in the event shop. Instead, evolutions now mainly require Essences, which simplifies the upgrade process.

Even the Secret unit appears to use Essence for evolution rather than special materials.

Autoplay Mode – Game Changing Feature

This is easily the most important feature in the update.

Autoplay now allows:

  • Auto spawn units
  • Auto upgrade units
  • Auto use skills
  • Toggle autoplay in settings
  • Force Restart button
  • Force End Match button

For many players, especially those who relied on unstable macros, this is a massive improvement. It reduces the need for third-party tools and makes grinding much smoother.

How Good Is Autoplay?

Pros:

  • Extremely fast placement speed
  • Automatically uses abilities
  • Works well with strong meta units
  • Great for Secret Portal farming

Cons:

  • No auto-start function
  • Doesn’t automatically collect rewards
  • Portal selection still requires manual input
  • Some placement logic isn’t optimal

If you’re using high-range or strong AoE units, autoplay performs well. If your team relies on specific placement strategies, manual play or macro may still be better.

Domain & Passive Fixes

Several important fixes were included:

  • Gorgeous Domain now properly stuns
  • Sakuna Domain hitbox now covers the full map
  • Mahora wheel now applies full 30% damage reduction
  • Lucky Streak stun bug fixed
  • Multiple passive adjustments

These changes improve consistency across abilities and make certain units more reliable.

UI & Performance Changes

The update also includes:

  • Faster loading times
  • Skippable loading screens
  • Unit Manager auto-popup
  • Improved Raise Mode and UT Mode stability

However, some players are experiencing map loading issues, especially on Portal maps. In certain cases, parts of the map fail to render properly. This appears to be a bug rather than a design change.

Mobile Player Limitations

Autoplay helps a lot, but mobile players still face one issue:

  • Portal selection requires manual clicking
  • No auto-start feature

This means full AFK macro farming is still limited unless you find a workaround. Autoplay handles combat well, but starting and portal entry still need input.

Is Update 1.5 Worth It?

  • Absolutely.

Even though the content additions are moderate, the quality-of-life improvements make this one of the best updates so far. The evolution requirement reduction alone saves players huge amounts of time and resources. Autoplay changes the grinding experience entirely, especially for Secret portals and long sessions.

There are still bugs that need fixing, particularly map optimization issues, but overall the game feels smoother and more accessible than before. If you haven’t tried the 1.5 update yet, now is a good time to jump back in and test the new system yourself in Anime Paradox.
