Late game in Jujutsu Zero is not just about leveling up or getting better gear. The real power spike comes from the Evolution Tree system. This progression path gives some of the biggest stat boosts in the entire game, but it is also one of the longest and most demanding grinds.

If you want stronger damage, better survivability, and smoother skill rotations, you will eventually need to complete this tree. Below is a full breakdown of how the Evolution Tree works, where to start, and how to finish it step by step without wasting time. Also check out our Jujutsu Zero Codes for more rewards!

How the Evolution Tree Works in Jujutsu Zero

The Evolution Tree is a multi-stage progression system in Jujutsu Zero. It is not a single quest. Instead, it is divided into:

  • Main Evolution Start
  • Three Branches (Offense, Vitality, Sorcery)
  • Main Evolution Finish

You begin at the main Evolution NPC in Tomb of the Stars. After unlocking the first node, the tree splits into three separate paths. You must complete all three branches before returning to finish the final upgrades. The correct order is:

  1. Start Main Evolution
  2. Complete Offense
  3. Complete Vitality
  4. Complete Sorcery
  5. Return to Main Evolution

Following this order keeps your materials organized and avoids confusion.

Step 1 – Starting the Evolution Tree

Head to Tomb of the Stars and find the Evolution NPC near the tree roots. Your first task is to collect an Evolution Scroll.

To get it:

  • Jump into the nearby pit.
  • Follow the left wall all the way.
  • Pick up the Evolution Scroll.

After that, you can unlock the first skill using:

  • 1 Evolution Scroll
  • 1 Domain Fragment
  • 1 Enhanced Scroll

Domain Fragments come from raid crates. Enhanced Scrolls drop from Soul Crates in raids like Maky.

First Evolution Skill – Super Crit

This gives:

  • 5% Super Crit Rate
  • 25% Super Crit Damage
  • 2% Damage Amplifier

Even this first upgrade already boosts your build noticeably.

Offense Branch Guide

The Offense Trainer is located in the bottom right area of the map. This branch focuses heavily on damage boosts.

Quest 1 – Defeat Boogeyman

Boogeyman deals percentage HP damage and only takes base damage, so fights take longer. Use burst skills and controlled windows. After defeating it, you receive Offense Shards. Upgrade Super Crit Rate for additional damage scaling.

Quest 2 – Earn 7,500 Points

Points are earned by:

  • Staying inside the circle
  • Defeating enemies

Fast enemy clears are the fastest method. Aggressive play speeds this up significantly. This unlocks Offense Evolution, which grants:

  • 30% Crit Rate
  • 60% ATK

One of the biggest damage spikes in the tree.

Quest 3 – Awakened King of Curses

This is a long fight with high HP and base-damage resistance. Important tips:

  • Do NOT use Domain if it causes glitches.
  • Play safe and chip away.
  • If you die, the boss HP does not reset.

After completing this, you unlock another Super Crit upgrade. Your offense branch is now complete.

Vitality Branch Guide

The Vitality Trainer is near the Tomb of the Stars entrance. This branch focuses on survivability and mobility.

Most quests involve collecting hidden shards.

Vitality Shard Locations

  1. Above the elevator in Tomb of the Stars
  2. On top of the large tree
  3. Inside a house near Teleport 5

Upgrades in this branch include:

  • +100 HP
  • 5% Damage Reduction
  • 90% HP Boost
  • 6 Air Jumps
  • 3 Extra Stamina Charges
  • 15% HP Amplifier

This branch makes raids and boss fights much safer and more comfortable.

Sorcery Branch Guide

The Sorcery Master NPC is located behind the waterfall near spawn.

This branch is material-heavy and requires crafting.

Materials You Will Need

  • Sorcery Heavenly Restriction
  • Domain Fragments
  • Sorcery Vow 4
  • Cursed Flesh (from Cursed Remnant mini boss)
  • Amber Vessel (from Amber Crates in Kashimo Raid)

This branch gives:

  • 10% Super Crit Damage
  • 15% Cooldown Reduction
  • 60% CD
  • 1.5% Damage Amplifier

Cooldown reduction alone makes skill rotations feel much smoother.

Final Evolution Quests

After completing all three branches, return to the main Evolution NPC.

Material Turn-In Quest

You need:

  • 1 Offense Gem
  • 1 Vitality Gem
  • 1 Sorcery Gem
  • 350,000 Lumen
  • 2 Domain Fragments

This upgrades the final node to Level 3.

Final Boss – Evolution Trainer

The last challenge is the Evolution Trainer boss:

  • 10,000 HP
  • Base damage resistance
  • Special Grade techniques

Best strategy:

  • Use your Domain carefully
  • Burst during clean openings
  • Stay patient

If you die, the boss HP does not reset. You can return and continue the fight.

Defeating this boss gives the final Evolution Scrolls needed to max the final node.

Final Evolution Tree Stats (Fully Maxed)

When fully completed, the Evolution Tree grants:

  • Super Crit Rate
  • Super Crit Damage
  • Damage Amplifier
  • HP Amplifier
  • Crit Rate
  • ATK
  • HP
  • Damage Reduction
  • Cooldown Reduction
  • Extra Air Jumps
  • Extra Stamina Charges

This is one of the biggest power spikes in Jujutsu Zero. If you plan to push late-game raids, high-tier bosses, or competitive content, this system is not optional.

Yes. The grind is long and material-heavy, but the total stat increase is massive. You gain both offensive and defensive upgrades, which makes your character stronger in every situation. If you take it one branch at a time and farm materials efficiently, the progression becomes manageable instead of overwhelming. Finish all three branches, defeat the Evolution Trainer, and fully max the final node. Once done, your build will feel completely different compared to before.
