The Split Soul Katana is quickly becoming one of the strongest late-game weapons in Jujutsu Zero. It has high base damage, strong crit scaling, and skill cooldowns that fit perfectly into fast rotations. In raids and boss fights, it performs extremely well.
However, you cannot obtain it instantly. You must complete the full Maki questline in order. If you skip steps, you will not unlock the final reward. Below is a complete step-by-step guide to help you unlock the Split Soul Katana as fast as possible. Also check out our Jujutsu Zero Codes for more rewards!
Where to Start the Questline
To begin, talk to the Awaken Zenan NPC (Maki) near Teleport 3 in Jujutsu Zero. You will see four quests available. The Split Soul Katana is locked behind the fourth quest, but you must complete the first three quests in order. Do not try to jump ahead.
Quest 1 – Mid-Rank Zen (5,000 Points)
The first quest requires you to earn 5,000 points. You gain points by:
- Defeating enemies
- Standing inside the objective circle
The fastest method is clearing enemies quickly. Use high-range cursed techniques with strong AoE damage. Shrine and Limitless are especially effective because they can wipe groups of enemies fast.
This quest is more about consistency than difficulty. Stay aggressive and keep enemies spawning. Once completed, you receive:
- Cursed Iron
- 1 Soul Fragment
- 1 Heavenly Fragment
Return to the Maki NPC for the next step.
Quest 2 – Boss Fight
The second quest requires defeating a boss. Important details:
- The boss deals percent HP damage
- It only takes base damage
- Fights take longer than usual
Best strategy:
- Use your Domain to control the fight
- Apply steady burst damage
- Avoid dragging the fight too long
If you die, do not worry. The boss does not reset HP. You can return and continue where you left off.
Rewards include additional Cursed Iron, Soul Fragments, and Heavenly Fragments.
Quest 3 – Stronger Boss Encounter
The third quest is another boss fight, slightly tougher than the second.
The strategy remains similar:
- Open with Domain if available
- Maintain pressure
- Avoid careless trades
Again, the boss does not reset health if you are defeated. This makes the grind more manageable.
Once completed, you will have all required materials for the final exchange.
Quest 4 – Claim Split Soul Katana
After finishing the first three quests, return to the Maki NPC and accept the fourth quest. This step is a material exchange. If you completed everything properly, you can immediately claim the Split Soul Katana. If you want another copy for ascension, you can repeat the full questline again.
Split Soul Katana Stats (Ascension 5, Level 100)
At high investment, the weapon provides:
- 87.2 ATK
- 76% Critical Damage
- 40% Crit Rate
- 80% ATK Bonus
Even before considering skills, these stats already place it among top-tier weapons.
Split Soul Katana Skills Explained
The weapon has three active skills, all of which are useful in real combat.
1. Blink Partition
- Teleports forward
- Damages enemies along the path
- ~5 second cooldown
Damage:
- Around 1M+ base hit
- Can reach ~2M with Super Crit
This skill offers both mobility and burst. Great for repositioning and fast engagement.
2. Unending Divide
- Multi-hit frontal attack
- ~10 second cooldown
- Average damage ~5.5M
Because this skill hits multiple times, it benefits heavily from Super Crit chance. In raids, it often spikes higher than expected. This is the main burst skill of the weapon.
3. Soul Recoil
- Teleports to the target
- Hits multiple times
- Returns you to original position
- ~7 second cooldown
This is one of the safest melee burst skills in the game. You can deal damage and instantly retreat, which is extremely valuable against dangerous raid bosses.
Raid Performance
In real raid scenarios, the Split Soul Katana performs exceptionally well.
- Smooth skill rotation
- No long dead cooldown periods
- High burst potential
- Strong sustained M1 damage (~95K, ~153K with Super Crit)
In high-end content like Sukuna Calamity Raid, it can clear extremely fast when properly built. Even in Maki Raid, clear times are very competitive.
The weapon feels balanced but extremely strong, especially when combined with crit-focused builds.
Is Split Soul Katana Worth Farming?
Yes. The questline takes time, especially the boss fights, but the weapon delivers massive value for late-game content.
You get:
- High crit scaling
- Strong burst
- Safe mobility skills
- Excellent raid performance
If you are pushing endgame raids or trying to improve your clear times, this weapon is absolutely worth the grind. Complete the Maki questline step by step, collect the materials properly, and you will unlock one of the strongest weapons currently available in Jujutsu Zero.
