How to Get & Use Emotes in Knockout Roblox Guide
Style matters almost as much as skill in Knockout. With the fourth major update, emotes have officially been added, giving players new ways to express themselves during matches and in the lobby. If you’re wondering how to unlock emotes and how to equip them properly, this guide explains everything step by step. Also check out our Knockout Codes for more rewards!
What Are Emotes in Knockout?
Emotes are animations or expressions your penguin character can perform. These include taunts, dances, and special gestures. Key things to know:
- They are visible to everyone.
- They can be used in both the lobby and live matches.
- Some are free, while others are limited-time exclusives.
There is no traditional emote shop like the skin shop, so unlocking them works differently.
How to Get Emotes in Knockout
1. Unlock Emotes Through Bundles (Main Method)
The primary way to get emotes is through limited-time bundles. How to Access Bundles:
- Go to the lobby.
- Find the pedestal penguin standing next to the prize wheel.
- Interact with it.
- View the currently available bundles.
Bundles rotate weekly. Developers add:
- New skins
- Arrows
- Occasionally new emotes
Because of this rotation system:
- Emotes can be time-sensitive.
- Some may not return for a long time.
- If you see one you like, it’s best to grab it while available.
2. Special Developer Events
Some emotes are distributed during special events.
For example:
- During the Admin Abuse Event on February 21, 2026, all players who joined received the Emperor Penguin emote.
This means future admin events may also include exclusive emotes. If a special event is announced, joining the game during that window can reward you with limited items.
All Current Emotes in Knockout
As of now, there are four emotes in the game:
1. Angry Penguin
- Free for all players.
- Automatically available.
2. Emperor Penguin
- Reward from a developer admin event.
- Limited distribution.
3. Grin Taunt
- Part of the limited Sorcerer Bundle.
- Time-sensitive.
4. Dragon Dance
- Included in the limited Dragon Bundle.
- Not permanently available.
More emotes are expected in future updates as the system expands.
How to Use Emotes in Knockout
Using emotes is simple once you unlock them.
- Press the Emote Button on the right side of your screen.
- Open the emote wheel.
- Select the emote you want to perform.
If you unlock additional emotes:
- Tap the plus icons on the emote wheel.
- Equip the ones you want active.
You can use emotes:
- In the lobby
- During matches
Everyone around you, including opponents, can see them.
When to Use Emotes (Important Tip)
While emotes are fun, timing matters.
- Using emotes mid-fight can distract you.
- Spamming emotes at the wrong time may cost you a round.
- Best used after a win, between rounds, or in the lobby.
In competitive situations, focus on gameplay first.
Emotes in Knockout add personality to the chaotic penguin brawler experience. Most emotes currently come from rotating bundles or special developer events, which means they can be limited and time-sensitive. If you want to build a strong emote collection, check bundles weekly and join special events whenever possible. Once unlocked, equipping and using them is quick and easy. With more updates expected, the emote system will likely expand, giving players even more ways to show off style while battling it out.
