How to Get Frieren in AOPG

To begin the unlock process, you must travel to the Multiverse Sea.

Step 1 – Go to Ant Island

Head to Ant Island in the Multiverse Sea and locate the Elven Mage NPC. Interact with her to start the questline.

Step 2 – Collect Required Raid Items

The NPC will ask for:

  • 1 Flower
  • 1 Grimoire

Both items drop from the new Ancient Magic Raid. You will need to run this raid multiple times depending on your luck. It’s recommended to bring a party to speed up clears. Once you obtain both items, return to the Elven Mage NPC.

Step 3 – Ability Usage Requirements

After turning in the items, you’ll receive additional tasks:

  • Use Ultra 50 times
  • Dodge or block attacks using Defensive Magic 150 times

These requirements can be completed naturally while farming NPCs or during raids. Defensive magic usage counts as long as you successfully block or dodge incoming attacks. Once completed, interact with the NPC again.

Step 4 – Obtain Staff of Slayer

Next, you must acquire the Staff of Slayer, which also drops from the Ancient Magic Raid. This may take multiple raid runs depending on drop rates. After obtaining the staff, return to the Elven Mage NPC. Doing so unlocks the Black Hole move, which is one of Frieren’s strongest abilities.

How to Get Frieren Title

You have two options:

  • Roll for the title through the gacha system
  • Obtain a Title Scroll from the Ancient Magic Raid

Raid farming is generally more consistent if you’re already grinding for materials.

Is Frieren Worth Getting?

In terms of obtainment, Frieren is relatively straightforward. The only real grind comes from raid drops and completing the ability usage requirements.

Strength-wise:

  • Good for PvE farming
  • Strong crowd control
  • Balanced damage output
  • Easy-to-understand mechanics

While the cutscenes and visual effects could be improved, the overall performance is stable and reliable.

Frieren in AOPG offers a clean and simple unlock path with strong magic-based abilities that perform well in raids and general PvE content. If you’re already farming the Ancient Magic Raid, it makes sense to complete the requirements and add this style to your collection. With proper buffs and Haki, Frieren becomes a solid option for players looking to expand beyond traditional melee builds.
