The Jungle Expansion update in Fisch brings a massive amount of new content for players to explore. From dangerous toxic areas to secret fishing spots and powerful new rods, this update adds several mechanics that can easily confuse new players. Two major locations were introduced, along with new quests, hunts, crafting systems, and rare fish that require specific strategies to obtain.

If you want to progress through the new update efficiently, this guide will walk you through everything step by step. Below you will find how to enter the Toxic Cave, complete the main quests, unlock new rods, and explore the second area called the Living Garden. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!

How to Enter the Toxic Cave

The first step of the Jungle Expansion begins inside the Lost Jungle. From the Shipwright area, travel toward the village where players normally craft spears. Instead of stopping there, move behind the village and follow the path toward a waterfall.

Continue walking through this path until you reach Oliver, the NPC connected to the cave entrance. Before entering the cave, you must purchase a Gas Mask for 75,000 coins. This item is required because the cave environment is toxic.

After purchasing it, open your equipment bag, go to the accessories section, and equip the gas mask. Once equipped, you can safely enter the cave and start exploring the first zone.

Toxic Grove Overview

After traveling through the cave tunnels, you will eventually reach the first main zone called Toxic Grove. This area contains several NPCs, quests, and dangerous mechanics. One important rule in this area is simple: do not touch the water. The water in Toxic Grove is poisonous and will instantly kill you. Instead, players must move using lily pads or a glider. Several NPC quests are available here:

1. Caleb

  • Quest: Find a Toxic Widow Bloom
  • Reward: Toxin Burst Handle
  • This item is one of the parts required to craft the Toxin Burst Rod later.

2. Plagued Reaper

  • Multi-stage questline
  • First reward: Toxin Burst Line
  • Final reward: Plague Reaver Rod

3. Joseph

  • Quest: Obtain a Rotted Seed
  • Reward: Blight Idol, the secret fish item for the area.

4. Felix

  • Quest: Catch a Giant Blight Puffer Fish
  • Must be obtained using crab cages.

5. Olivia

  • One of the most important NPCs
  • Requires catching a Venom Serpent
  • Completing her quest unlocks the Toxic-Proof Raft, allowing travel to the next area.

Toxic Hunts and Special Events

Toxic Grove also introduces several hunt mechanics.

Rot Bloom Hunt

This event occurs in a special pool where a mushroom appears. The water level constantly rises and can kill players if they stay too long. To complete this hunt:

  1. Wait until the water level drops.
  2. Quickly jump into the pool.
  3. Grab the mushroom.
  4. Stay inside to begin fishing for Rot Bloom.

This mechanic is difficult because the timing must be perfect.

Toxic Boil Event

Another event is the Toxic Boil, which appears as glowing purple water. Important things to know:

  • It only lasts 30 seconds
  • There is no announcement when it appears
  • This is the only way to catch the two legendary fish in Toxic Grove

One of these legendary fish is required to complete Olivia’s quest.

Crafting the Toxin Burst Rod

After collecting the necessary parts, players can craft the Toxin Burst Rod.

Required materials include:

  • Toxin Burst Handle
  • Toxin Burst Line
  • Toxin Burst Shaft
  • Toxic Jelly Mist
  • 185,000 coins

The rod has strong stats including:

  • 83% lure speed
  • 85% luck
  • 30% resilience
  • 125,000 max kg

This rod also helps players obtain Noxious fish, which are required for later quests.

Unlocking the Plague Reaver Rod

The Plagued Reaper questline continues after you return several items including:

  • Decayed mutated Venom
  • Blight Idol
  • Noxious Rot Bloom
  • Withered Bloom
  • 13.75 million coins

Once completed, players receive the Plague Reaver Rod, one of the strongest rods introduced in the update.

Key stats include:

  • 175% luck
  • Infinite max kg
  • 75% progress speed bonus

This rod is extremely powerful and useful for high-level fishing.

Traveling to Living Garden

After completing Olivia’s quest, you unlock the Toxic-Proof Raft. This boat allows you to safely cross toxic water and reach the second zone called Living Garden. When you arrive, a short cutscene will play showing the new area. Compared to Toxic Grove, this area focuses more on exploration and farming mechanics.

Living Garden Seed System

In Living Garden, players can interact with special flowers scattered around the map. Opening flowers may give seeds such as:

  • Violet Seed
  • Cyan Seed
  • Living Seed
  • Canary Seed

Each time you open a flower, you gain a Pollinated Buff, which stacks and increases survival in special areas. Seeds can be planted in the garden, and once the timer finishes they produce Lotus items.

Examples include:

  • Violet Lotus
  • Living Lotus
  • Toxic Lotus

These lotus items are used to unlock special rod variants.

Secret Areas in Living Garden

Two hidden zones exist in this area.

Verdant Pocket

  • 95% lure speed
  • Infinite max kg

Nectar Den

The Nectar Den contains aggressive bees that deal damage over time. To survive here, players must maintain the Pollinated buff.

  • Complete the Nectar Den bestiary

  3. The rod will spawn from the ground.

The Bloomspire rod has multiple variants depending on the lotus used:

Slumbering Elegance

  • 70% lure speed
  • 175% luck
  • Dreaming mutation

Blooming Splendor

  • 95% lure speed
  • 200% luck
  • Slash stacking mechanic

  • 80% lure speed
  • 200% resilience

  • 320,000 coins

Stats include:

  • 95% lure speed
  • 50% luck

  • 30,000 max kg

This rod has a 25% chance to entangle fish, applying a floral mutation.

The Jungle Expansion update in Fisch adds one of the largest content drops the game has seen so far. With two massive areas, several new rods, hidden mechanics, and rare hunts, players now have a lot more ways to progress and improve their fishing builds.

From surviving the dangerous Toxic Grove to farming seeds in the Living Garden, mastering this update requires patience and exploration. Once you unlock the powerful rods and understand the new systems, the Jungle Expansion becomes one of the most rewarding parts of the game.
