A new update has arrived in Catch and Tame, and this time it introduces the Bloodmoon Event. This event brings many new things into the game, including powerful boss pets, new mutations, lucky blocks, and several gameplay improvements.
The atmosphere during the event feels darker and more mysterious compared to normal gameplay. The map gets a special Bloodmoon theme, and players can encounter new creatures that only appear during this limited-time event. Some of the new pets are normal creatures, while others are massive boss pets that require teamwork to capture.
If you want to collect the newest pets or farm rare rewards, here is everything you need to know about the Bloodmoon Event in Catch and Tame. Also check out our Catch and Tame Codes for more rewards!
When the Bloodmoon Event Appears
The Bloodmoon Event does not stay active all the time. Instead, it appears periodically in the game. Important details about the event:
- The Bloodmoon Event spawns once every 2 hours
- During the event, boss pets and special creatures appear
- New items like Bloodmoon Lucky Blocks can also be found
Because the event is limited, many players try to join servers right before it starts so they can hunt the new pets.
Bloodmoon Boss Pets
One of the biggest features of the update is the addition of boss pets. These creatures are much stronger than normal pets and cannot always be captured alone. In many cases, you will need multiple players to successfully catch them. Some of the bosses discovered during the event include:
- Hydra
- Colossal Mammoth
- Albino King
- King Seal
These bosses are large pets and often spawn in different parts of the map. Since multiple players compete to capture them, the process becomes much more challenging compared to normal pets. Using ridable or flying pets can help you move across the map faster so you can reach boss spawns before other players.
Bloodmoon Mutation
The update also introduces a new mutation called Bloodmoon Mutation. This mutation is connected to a special fruit called Bloodmoon Grapes. When used on a pet, it can give the creature a unique visual effect. Pets with this mutation usually gain:
- A bright red glow
- A neon-style appearance
- A more unique look compared to normal pets
Some players reported visual issues where the mutation effect did not appear correctly, so there may still be small bugs related to it.
Bloodmoon Lucky Blocks
Another feature added in this update is the Bloodmoon Lucky Block. Opening these blocks can give different rewards such as:
- Fruits
- Food items
- Legendary pets
- Event items
Players who collect multiple lucky blocks during the event can open them later to try their luck at getting rare pets.
New Spin Wheel Rewards
The game also updated the Spin Wheel, which players can spin once per day for free. One of the most interesting rewards added to the wheel is:
- Bloodmoon Stag
However, the chance to get it is very low. The drop rate is around 1%, which means most players will likely receive other rewards like fruits or resources instead.
New Settings and Gameplay Improvements
Besides pets and bosses, the update also added several quality-of-life features. Some useful new options include:
- Turning music on or off
- Turning sound effects on or off
- Choosing who can send trade requests (everyone, friends, or nobody)
- Option to hide pets on other players’ bases
The last option is especially helpful for players who experience lag when many pets are displayed on screen.
Mutation Machine
A new machine has also been added to the shop. This machine allows players to hide mutations on their pets. Important things to know about the machine:
- It does not remove mutations permanently
- It only hides the visual appearance
- The mutation stats still remain on the pet
This feature is useful if a pet has many different mutation effects and the player prefers a cleaner appearance.
The Bloodmoon Event adds a lot of fresh content to Catch and Tame. From giant boss pets like Hydra and King Crocken to new mutations and lucky blocks, the update gives players many reasons to keep exploring the map.
The addition of cooperative boss fights also changes the gameplay experience. Instead of farming alone on private servers, players now compete and work together in public servers to capture powerful creatures. If you want to collect the newest pets and event rewards, make sure to join the game during the Bloodmoon Event and prepare to hunt the bosses with other players.
