Building a strong character in Cursed Gear depends heavily on how you invest your stats. While weapons, techniques, and gear are important, your attributes will shape your overall performance in combat. From dealing more damage to improving stamina and movement speed, every stat has a clear purpose.

For new players, understanding how the attribute system works can make progression much easier. This guide explains every stat in Cursed Gear, how the grading system works, and which attributes affect your combat style the most.

How the Attribute System Works

In Cursed Gear, attributes are ranked using a grading system rather than simple numbers. Each stat begins at the lowest tier and gradually increases as you invest progression currency. The grading order looks like this:

  • F Tier
  • E Tier
  • D Tier
  • C Tier
  • B Tier
  • A Tier
  • S Tier
  • SS Tier

Each grade also has multiple levels, starting from 1 up to 5. This means the lowest possible stat rank is F1, while the highest possible rank is SS5. Most stats also have a soft cap at SF1. Once you reach this point, increasing the stat will still work, but the scaling becomes weaker compared to earlier levels. Because of this system, it is usually better to balance your stats instead of investing everything into a single attribute.

1. Physicality

Physicality directly increases your melee damage. If you rely on close-range combat, this is one of the most important stats to upgrade. Players who use aggressive builds or focus on basic attacks and melee combos benefit the most from Physicality. Higher levels allow your attacks to deal much more damage during fights. This stat is commonly prioritized by players who want to win duels quickly or dominate during invasions.

2. Durability

Durability determines how much health your character has. The higher this stat is, the more damage you can survive before being defeated. This attribute is especially useful during longer fights or difficult expeditions where enemies appear in waves. Increasing Durability gives players more room for mistakes and allows them to survive strong enemy attacks. For beginners, investing some points into Durability is usually a safe decision since it improves survivability during early gameplay.

3. Output

Output increases the damage of your cursed techniques. If your build focuses heavily on special abilities instead of melee attacks, this stat becomes extremely important. In addition to boosting technique damage, Output also provides a small increase to your stamina reserves. This helps players use abilities more often during combat. Many technique-focused builds rely on Output to maximize their overall damage potential.

4. Efficiency

Efficiency mainly increases your stamina capacity. A larger stamina pool allows you to dodge, block, and attack more often without running out of energy. This stat also slightly increases the damage of your techniques. While the damage bonus is smaller compared to Output, the stamina increase makes Efficiency very useful for long fights. Players who prefer mobility or defensive playstyles often prioritize this attribute.

5. Awareness

Awareness affects several advanced combat mechanics in Cursed Gear. First, it reduces the stamina damage you take while blocking attacks. This allows players to defend themselves more effectively during fights. Second, it increases the stamina damage dealt to opponents when attacking them.

This makes it easier to break an enemy’s guard and create openings. Finally, Awareness slightly increases the chance of triggering a True Black Flash, one of the strongest combat effects in the game. Because of these benefits, Awareness is often used by players who enjoy technical combat and precise timing.

6. Dexterity

Dexterity controls your character’s movement speed. Increasing this stat allows players to move faster across the map and reposition more easily during combat. Higher Dexterity makes it easier to chase enemies, escape dangerous fights, or navigate areas during expeditions. Mobility can often decide the outcome of PvP encounters, which is why many players invest at least some points into this attribute. Even if it is not your main stat, having decent Dexterity can greatly improve overall gameplay.

7. Royal Clan Attribute Buff

Some players may obtain a Royal clan while playing Cursed Gear. When this happens, the game randomly selects one attribute and gives it a 10% scaling bonus. This boosted stat is highlighted with a special gold color in the attribute menu. Because of the extra scaling, it is often worth investing additional points into that specific attribute. The Royal clan  bonus can create powerful builds depending on which stat receives the buff.

The attribute system in Cursed Gear plays a major role in how your character performs during expeditions and PvP battles. Each stat offers a different advantage, whether it is higher damage, better stamina, or increased survivability.

For beginners, a balanced build usually works best while learning the game. As you gain more experience, you can start focusing on specific attributes that match your preferred playstyle. Understanding how each stat works will make it easier to create stronger builds and survive the dangerous expeditions waiting in the world of Cursed Gear.
