Garden Horizons IGMA Event Guide: Fastest Way to Farm Points!

The newest update in Garden Horizons introduces the IGMA Event, also known by some players as the Mythical or Mutated Event. This limited event brings a new point system where players can collect rewards by submitting plants with a special mutation. The more points you earn, the more rewards you unlock, including tools, seed packs, and even an exclusive seed at the final milestone.

While the event itself is simple, earning points quickly can take time if you do not use the right strategy. Many players start by submitting random plants, but that method is slow and inefficient. In this guide, you will learn the fastest way to farm points during the IGMA event and reach the 500-point reward tier much faster.

How the IGMA Event Works

The event starts by speaking to the NPC Rosalind, who leads the IGMA field team. Her goal is to collect samples of unusual plants for research. Players can earn points by submitting Strange Plants. These are normal crops that gain the Strange Mutation during special weather events. Once you collect mutated crops, you can submit them to Rosalind to receive event points. The event has multiple reward tiers. As your points increase, you unlock items such as:

  • Super Sprinklers
  • Favorite Tools
  • Royal Seed Packs
  • IGMA Seed Packs

An exclusive event seed at the highest tier To unlock the final reward, players must collect 500 points.

Strange Mutation Explained

The Strange Mutation appears during a special mutated weather event that occurs periodically in the game. When this weather appears, some of the plants in your garden will automatically receive the Strange Mutation. You do not need to do anything special to trigger it. Simply stay in the game and wait for the weather event to happen. Once the mutation appears, harvest those plants and submit them to Rosalind.

Points Based on Plant Rarity

The number of points you receive depends on the rarity of the plant you submit. Higher rarity plants give more points. Here is the point breakdown:

  • Common Plants – 1 Point
  • Uncommon Plants – 2 Points
  • Rare Plants – 3 Points
  • Epic Plants – 4 Points
  • Legendary Plants – 5 Points
  • Mythical Plants – 6 Points

Because of this system, submitting common crops like carrots or corn is not efficient. Even if you collect many of them, it will still take a long time to reach 500 points.

Best Crops for Fast Point Farming

The fastest strategy is to use Rare tier crops, especially tomatoes. Tomatoes are extremely effective because they are easy to obtain and grow quickly. Each Strange Mutated tomato gives 3 points, which is a solid balance between rarity and farming speed. Other good options include:

  • Apples
  • Potatoes
  • Plums
  • Bananas

Epic crops such as potatoes are also strong options because they give 4 points each, but they may be harder to farm in large amounts.

The Tomato Farming Method

Many experienced players use the Tomato Method, which focuses on planting a large number of tomatoes to maximize Strange Mutation chances. Here is how the method works:

1. Clear Your Garden

Your garden can only hold 300 crops at once, so remove any unnecessary plants that are taking up space. This allows you to plant more crops for the event. If you want to keep your seeds, you can use the Reverter tool to turn plants back into seeds before removing them.

2. Plant Tomatoes Close Together

Fill your garden with tomatoes and place them very close together. This allows you to plant a large number of crops within the 300 limit. Using an auto-clicker can help speed up this process so you can plant dozens or even hundreds of tomatoes quickly.

3. Wait for Strange Mutation Weather

Once your tomatoes are planted, simply stay in the game and wait for the Strange Mutation weather event to appear. During this time, many of your tomatoes will receive the Strange Mutation.

4. Submit All Mutated Crops

After harvesting your mutated tomatoes, return to Rosalind and use the Submit All option. This instantly converts all Strange crops into points. For example:

  • 50 Strange Mutated Tomatoes × 3 points each
  • Total: 150 points

This means you can reach the 500-point reward milestone after only a few mutation cycles.

AFK Farming Strategy

The event becomes much easier if you allow your character to stay in the game for longer periods. You can use:

  • Auto-clickers
  • Simple AFK macros

This prevents the game from disconnecting you and allows multiple Strange Mutation weather cycles to happen while you are away. When you return, you will likely have many mutated crops ready to harvest and submit.

The IGMA event in Garden Horizons is one of the easiest ways to earn valuable rewards, but reaching the final milestone can take time without the right approach. By focusing on efficient crops like tomatoes and filling your garden with high-yield plants, you can generate large numbers of Strange Mutations during each weather cycle. With the right setup and some AFK farming, collecting hundreds of points becomes much easier. If you stay consistent and keep submitting mutated crops, reaching the 500-point reward tier and unlocking the exclusive event seed should not take long.
