New Gloom Spore Biome Overview
The biggest addition in this update is the Gloom Spore biome. It is a large region on the map that contains three different sub-biomes.
The main area is called Gloom Spore Valley, which includes a large mountain. This mountain is an important location because it allows players to refill oxygen and also contains a teleporter.
Near the mountain, you will find an NPC that gives a simple quest. The quest is easy and can be finished in just a few minutes. Completing it is important because it unlocks more areas later in the update.
Outside the mountain area, you will also see new fish that spawn around the biome. These creatures can be hunted for rewards and resources.
Sub Biome 1 – Oxygen Refill Area
The first sub biome is the main section of the valley where players can safely explore and refill oxygen.
Inside this area you will find:
- Oxygen refill point
- Teleporter location
- Access to the rest of the Gloom Spore biome
The teleporter makes it easier to return to this location while exploring deeper areas of the map.
New Tubes and Weapons
The update introduces three new tubes and four guns that players can obtain.
One of the best tubes in this update costs around 700,000 credits. It offers very strong oxygen capacity and is extremely useful for exploring deeper zones.

Some weapons can be purchased normally, while one gun appears to be locked behind a quest and may be stronger than the others.
Sub Biome 2 – Dangerous Gas Area
The second area inside the Gloom Spore biome contains toxic gas. If players walk into this gas without completing the related quest, they will die instantly.
There is also an NPC in this area, although it may currently be bugged depending on the server. Developers may fix this in future updates.

Puzzle Location and Reward
At the very edge of the map there is a small puzzle area that players can complete for rewards.
To solve the puzzle:
- Go to the puzzle location on the edge of the map
- Find the torches or lights around the structure
- Turn them on and off in the correct order
- Light all torches at the same time
Once the puzzle is completed, a large chest will unlock.
Reward from the chest:
- Around 50,000 credits
This is a quick and easy way to earn extra money.
Orca Enemies for Farming Credits
Another new addition in the update is Orca enemies. These creatures spawn near the puzzle area. Orcas are relatively easy to defeat if you have strong equipment, especially a good tube. Because of this, they can become a reliable way to farm credits.
Unlocking the Hidden Cave
Back near the main NPC in the mountain area, there is a locked gate.
When you complete the NPC quest:
- You receive a badge
- The gate will open
- A large underground cave becomes accessible
The cave is very deep and does not have a teleport exit, so players usually reset their character to leave.
Inside the cave you will find:
- Multiple NPCs that give quests
- Additional equipment
- A new tube and weapon
Secret Path and Rune Gate
As you explore deeper into the cave, you will eventually find a small house. Behind the house there is a hidden path that leads to a short obby challenge. The jumps are not very difficult, but the area can be dark which makes it harder to see the rocks.
After finishing the obby, you will meet an NPC who asks for three runes. Past this NPC is a giant locked gate that requires the three runes to open. Most players believe the final weapon from the update is located behind this gate, although it cannot be accessed yet without the runes.
The Gloom Spore update adds a lot of new content to Abyss, including a large biome, new equipment, puzzles, and hidden areas to explore. Players can earn credits through puzzles, hunt new enemies like Orcas, and unlock deeper sections of the map by completing quests.
