A new survivor has arrived in Forsaken after the update released on March 18, 2026. The character, Jane Doe, brings a different style of gameplay that focuses on tracking the killer and supporting teammates during matches. Unlike some characters that can be bought instantly, Jane Doe must be unlocked through a small set of quests first.
Because of her strong survivability and unique abilities, many players are trying to unlock her as soon as possible. Once you gain access to Jane Doe, she can help you avoid danger and give your team a better chance of surviving the round. Below is a full guide explaining how to unlock Jane Doe and how her abilities work in-game.
How to Unlock Jane Doe in Forsaken
Jane Doe cannot be purchased from the shop. Instead, players must complete a short quest chain given by her NPC version. To start the process, head to the basement located just outside the main lobby. Inside that area, you will find Jane Doe’s NPC. Interact with her to receive the quest tasks required to unlock the survivor. There are four quests in total:
1. Collect Documents (First Three Quests)
The first three missions are similar. You will need to find special documents that spawn during matches while playing as a Survivor. Important things to remember:
- Only one document appears on the map at a time
- Documents do not spawn if you are playing as the Killer
- The location changes every match
Once you find a document during a round, collect it to progress the quest. Repeat this process until all three document tasks are finished.
2. Find the Special Ring (Final Quest)
The last quest asks you to locate a special ring during a Survivor match. Just like the documents:
- The ring only spawns for Survivors
- Its location is random each round
After collecting the ring, return to the lobby and talk to Jane Doe again. Completing this final interaction will unlock her as a playable Survivor.
Jane Doe Stats in Forsaken
Jane Doe is designed as a balanced survivor with strong durability and tracking tools. Here are her base stats:
- Health: 60
- Speed: 12
- Sprint Speed: 26
- Stamina: 100
- Stamina Drain: 10 per second while sprinting
- Stamina Recovery: 20 while walking
- Difficulty: ★★★
Her abilities focus on controlling fights and helping teammates rather than pure escape mechanics.
Jane Doe Passive Abilities
Digital Footprint
This passive ability allows Jane Doe to see the Killer’s footprints. Because of this tracking mechanic, it becomes much easier to predict where the Killer is moving. Players can use this information to plan escapes or avoid dangerous areas before the Killer arrives.
Shatterpoint
Shatterpoint provides Jane Doe with 40% damage reduction and 20 additional Shatterpoint HP. However, there is a drawback. She cannot receive healing from other players or external effects. Instead, Jane Doe must restore Shatterpoint HP by successfully landing her abilities. Ability hits can restore up to 30 Shatterpoint HP, although the healing amount decreases if multiple Jane Doe characters are in the same match.
Jane Doe Abilities Explained
Crystal Pitch
Crystal Pitch is Jane Doe’s main ability. When used, she throws a crystal projectile that explodes on impact. Key mechanics:
- The ability can be charged by holding the button
- Charging reduces movement speed by 30%
- Cooldown: 16 seconds
If the crystal hits the Killer:
- Jane Doe gains Resonance stacks
- She recovers 3 Shatterpoint HP
- The Killer can see her location for 3 seconds
If the crystal hits a Survivor:
- The teammate gains the Purified I status
- Jane Doe restores 2 Shatterpoint HP
Because of these effects, the ability is often better used to support teammates rather than directly attack the Killer.
Hatchet
Hatchet is Jane Doe’s emergency offensive skill. She swings a hatchet that deals 25 damage to the Killer. Additional effects:
- The Killer can be stunned for up to 4.5 seconds
- The stun duration increases depending on Resonance stacks
- Cooldown: 35 seconds
This ability should usually be saved for dangerous situations where escape becomes difficult.
Jane Doe adds a unique survivor playstyle to Forsaken, combining tracking tools, defensive bonuses, and team support abilities. While unlocking her requires completing a few quests, the tasks are simple enough for most players to finish within several matches.
Once unlocked, Jane Doe becomes a strong survivor option thanks to her durability and ability to monitor the Killer’s movement. With proper timing and smart positioning, she can help both herself and her teammates survive longer during intense matches.
