Update 11.5 in Anime Vanguards introduces one of the strongest and most complex units in the game: Vanguard Ichigo. Unlocking him is not simple. The questline requires dungeon farming, sacrificing units, and completing a special trial stage. How to Start the Vanguard Ichigo Questline

Before you can begin the questline, you must obtain the Spirit Mask. There are two ways to get it:

• 10% drop chance from the Underworld Dungeon
• Buy it from the Underworld Shop for 2,000 Hollow Tokens

The dungeon method is much better if you get lucky. Farming 2,000 tokens takes a long time, so most players should aim to get the drop instead. Once you obtain the Spirit Mask, the questline unlocks.

Step 1 – Use Spirit Collector 20 Times

The first objective requires you to use the Spirit Collector (Soul Collector) ability 20 times. Inside the Underworld Dungeon, a Soul Collector spawns early in the run. To complete this step:

1. Place your units close to the Soul Collector.
2. Defeat enemies within its range.
3. Make sure kills are happening near it so they count.

Fastest Method

• Defeat the first Soul Collector.
• Restart the dungeon.
• Repeat until you reach 20 uses.

However, only use this method if you already have enough Hollow Tokens. If you still need tokens for later steps, complete full dungeon runs instead of restarting early.

Step 2 – Sacrifice Deceiver (Eizen)

Next, you must sacrifice the Deceiver (Eizen) unit. To do this, you need:

• 500 Hollow Tokens to buy Eizen
• Fused Spirit Orb (evolution item)

If you did not get the evolution item from dungeon drops, you can buy it for 500 tokens in the shop.

After evolving Eizen, sacrifice him to complete this step. Stats do not matter since the unit will be removed.

Step 3 – Find the Correct Sword (Remembrance Trial)

This is one of the more frustrating steps. Using the quest item teleports you to the Remembrance Trial. In this mode:

• There are 7 swords.
• Only 1 sword is correct.
• You can pick 1 sword every 5 waves.
• Picking the wrong sword makes the stage harder.

Two Methods

Method 1 – Restart Strategy

• Play until wave 5.
• Pick a sword.
• Restart if wrong.

Keep in mind: restarting randomizes the correct sword.

Method 2 – Full Clear Strategy

• Continue playing without restarting.
• Eliminate swords one by one.
• Survive while testing each option.

If you have a strong team, the second method is more consistent.

Step 4 – Sacrifice 30 Mythic or Higher Units

This step is straightforward:

• Sacrifice 30 Mythic+ units.
• They do not need to be evolved.
• Locked units are protected.

After completing this, you receive the Complete Spirit Mask, which allows Ichigo to evolve.

Evolving Vanguard Ichigo

With the Complete Spirit Mask and required materials, you can evolve:

Ichigo (Savior) → Savior Moonless

When evolved, you also receive his Memoria, which is an important part of his kit.

Vanguard Ichigo is one of the most powerful and complicated units added in Anime Vanguards so far. The questline is long, resource-heavy, and requires serious dungeon farming. However, once unlocked and evolved, he offers insane scaling, revival utility, and high damage potential.
