Starting a new RPG on Roblox can feel overwhelming, especially when the game has many systems and progression mechanics. In Paradox, players will encounter several important features such as missions, potential progression, ranked battles, and special abilities that influence how your character grows.

Understanding these systems early will make your progression much smoother. Instead of randomly grinding without direction, learning how the main mechanics work allows players to unlock abilities faster and obtain stronger items. This beginner progression guide explains the most important systems in Paradox, including missions, special rerolls, Kisuke progression, Eternal Flames, and ranked battles.

Summoning Specials and How Rerolling Works

Beginner Progression Guide Paradox – Missions, Specials, Ranked, and More

One of the first things players should understand in Paradox is the Special Summoning system. This feature allows players to obtain powerful special abilities that can significantly affect gameplay. If you want to reroll your special, follow these steps:

  1. Press M to open the main menu.
  2. Go to the Summoning section.
  3. Select the Shikai tab.

Even though the tab says Shikai, you are not only rerolling Shikai abilities. Instead, the game gives you a core item that represents your special ability. This item will appear in your inventory after summoning. Here are some examples of specials and their corresponding items:

  • Gravity – Gravity Core
  • Bat – Murciélago Core
  • Deathdealing – Deathdealing Essence
  • Flower – Blooming Lotus
  • Gunners – Primera Fang
  • Fear – Nightmare Crystal
  • Blood – Bloodstone
  • Fire – Inferno Ember
  • Lightning – Stormheart
  • Explode – Blastcore
  • Heat – Molten Heart
  • Panther – Pantera Fang
  • Rampage – Rampage Crest
  • Shadow – Shadowgem
  • Wind – Zephyr Core
  • Heaven – Celestial Sigil
  • Power – Titan Relic

These items confirm which special ability you obtained after summoning.

Titles and How to Obtain Them

Beginner Progression Guide Paradox – Missions, Specials, Ranked, and More

Titles are one of the prestige features in Paradox. If you obtain a title, it will appear above your guild name and show your status in the game. Players who become captains also receive a special Captain uniform as part of their appearance. Some titles that can be obtained include:

  • Espada (0–9)
  • Sternritter (D, E, F, H, P)
  • Captain (2–13)

There are two main ways to obtain titles:

1. Tournaments

If a title position becomes available, the game may hold a tournament to determine the next holder. These tournaments usually require players to meet certain conditions.

Common requirements include:

  • High ranked Elo
  • Having Bankai, Volt, or Res obtained

2. Challenges

Titles can also be challenged directly. However, there are several rules involved.

  • Each challenge places the title holder on a 5-day cooldown.
  • The title holder may void this cooldown if they choose.
  • Challenges can be delayed for real-life reasons but cannot be rejected completely.

To challenge a title slot, players must usually meet certain conditions such as:

  • Minimum 600 Elo
  • Having second release unlocked

Mission System

Missions are the main way to gain progress in Paradox. Completing them helps players gain experience and advance through the game. Here are the main missions available:

Exterminate Followers

Corrupted followers appear around Karakura’s outskirts. Players must defeat them and return to the mission location.

Bombs Away

Players must place bombs at several locations across the map and then escape to the evacuation area.

Scavenger Hunt

Three crystals are scattered randomly across the map. Players must collect all three to complete the mission. Every two minutes, the crystals may briefly become highlighted to help players locate them.

Protect the Reiatsu

Players must defend a Reiatsu package for 180 seconds while enemies attempt to destroy it.

PvP Missions

Paradox also includes player-based missions.

Stalker Mission

A Stalker enters another player’s server and attempts to eliminate a specific target.

Stalked Player

The target must protect the Reishi and defeat the invading player to complete the mission successfully.

Kisuke Progression

Progression in Paradox is tied to a Potential system. Every time you reach certain potential milestones, you must defeat Kisuke to unlock further progression.

You will fight Kisuke at:

  • 125 Potential
  • 250 Potential
  • 375 Potential
  • 500 Potential
  • 625 Potential

After defeating Kisuke, your potential will unlock and you will receive a Skill Crystal.

Even after beating Kisuke five times, you can still fight him again for Skill Gems, although there is a 1-hour cooldown between fights.

Kisuke Location

Kisuke can be found in Karakura, located in the bottom-left area near the Bank NPC and Inori.

Eternal Flames Mode

Eternal Flames is a wave-based challenge mode where players fight waves of enemies for rewards.

Key details:

  • Total waves: 50
  • Every 5 waves: shared loot appears for players
  • Every 10 waves: automatic bonus rewards

Eternal Flame Modifiers

Different modifiers can change the difficulty:

  • No Specials (x0.50) – disables special skills
  • All Corrupt (x0.15) – all enemies become corrupted
  • Double NPC Health (x1.75) – enemies have double health
  • No Health Packs (x0.35) – healing items disabled
  • No Skills (x2.00) – skills cannot be used

Possible rewards include:

  • Hōgyoku Fragment
  • Mask Remnant
  • Various reroll items
  • Accessories
  • Secret mythical drop after wave 50

Ranked Mode

Ranked mode is the 1v1 competitive system in Paradox.

Players climb ranks by winning matches and earning Elo.

Ranked Tiers

  • Novice – 0
  • Apprentice – 100
  • Master – 200
  • Elite – 500
  • Legendary – 1000
  • Divine – 1500
  • Saint – 2000
  • Mythical – 2500
  • Transcendent – Unknown
  • Omnipotent – Unknown

Ranked Rewards

Players can earn many items from ranked mode, including:

  • Reroll items
  • Rare accessories
  • Various in-game rewards

Although some items have lower drop rates, ranked mode remains one of the best ways to obtain valuable loot.

Paradox offers a deep progression system that includes missions, special abilities, ranked battles, and challenge modes. For beginners, learning how each system works can make the early game much easier and more rewarding. By completing missions, defeating Kisuke to unlock potential, participating in Eternal Flames, and climbing ranked tiers, players can steadily build stronger characters and unlock powerful abilities. As you continue playing and exploring different systems, your character will grow stronger and open the door to more advanced content in the game.
