Soul Reaper is one of the most popular factions in Paradox. Inspired by the Shinigami from the Bleach universe, this path allows players to wield powerful abilities such as Shikai, Bankai, and even Vizard transformations. However, progressing as a Soul Reaper requires completing several steps, starting from missions and eventually unlocking advanced abilities.
Players begin their journey in the Soul Society and slowly build their strength by increasing potential, unlocking new powers, and defeating strong enemies. Soul Reaper Progression Guide
When you spawn as a Soul Reaper, you will appear in Soul Society. From there, the main goal is to increase your Potential by completing missions. The fastest way to progress early is by joining PvE or PvP missions from the mission queue.
Early Progression
- Complete missions to increase Potential.
- Reach 75 Potential.
- Take the Soul Reaper Exam located in the yellow building at the top right of Soul Society.
Passing the exam confirms your status as a Soul Reaper and allows further progression.
Mid Game Progression
Once you reach 200 Potential, you can begin unlocking your Shikai through meditation. After unlocking Shikai, players can continue progressing through several activities:
- Time Portals
- Raids
- Eternal Flame mode
These activities provide materials, rewards, and additional experience.
How to Unlock Shikai
Shikai becomes available once your character reaches 200 Potential. To start the process:
- Press N to begin meditation.
- Complete the Shikai trials.
The trials include three stages.
Stage 1 – Memory Sequence
Numbers will appear on the screen, and you must press the correct order using your keyboard. For example, if the number 2 appears, press 2.
Stage 2 – Timing Challenge
A moving circle will pass over numbers. Press the correct number when the circle is over it. It is easier to focus on one number at a time instead of trying to follow multiple numbers.
Stage 3 – Shikai Spirit Boss Fight
The final stage is a battle against your Shikai Spirit. Defeating the spirit completes the trial and unlocks your Shikai abilities.
How to Get Vizard
Vizard is an advanced transformation that gives Soul Reapers additional power. To start the Vizard quest:
- Reach 500 Potential.
- Talk to the NPC Jamaster in Soul Society or Karakura Town.
- Begin the Vizard questline.
You must complete the following objectives:
- Get 50 Shinigami kills
- Win 20 ranked matches
After completing the requirements, talk to Jamaster again and finish his trials to unlock the Vizard form. Once you obtain Vizard, you can find the Ender NPC in Karakura Town to unlock a special Vizard skill.
Vizard Buffs and Variants
Activating Vizard gives several combat advantages.
Vizard Buffs
- 15% Damage Increase
- 20% Reiatsu and Health recovery when activated
There are also different Vizard mask variants, including:
- Ichigo
- Rojuro
- Hiyori
- Lisa
- Shinji
These masks mainly affect the visual appearance of the transformation.
How to Unlock Bankai
Bankai is the final major ability for Soul Reapers and requires a high amount of progression.
Bankai Requirements
Before starting the process, you must reach 705 Potential. After meeting this requirement, complete the following steps:
- Defeat Requirement You must be gripped 10 times by different races.
- Fight Kisuke After completing the requirement, talk to Kisuke and defeat him in battle.
- Speak to Your Bankai Spirit After the fight, you will need to interact with your Bankai Spirit.
- Complete the Trials Locate the Bankai Spirit in Soul Society and survive the challenges.
Completing these trials will finally unlock Bankai, giving you one of the strongest abilities available to Soul Reapers.
