A major update is finally on the way for Fish It on Roblox, and it introduces one of the most requested features from the community: the trading system. Until now, players who wanted to exchange items had to rely on the gift system, where one player sends an item first and hopes the other player returns the favor. This method often led to problems because there was no secure system to protect both sides.

With the upcoming update, trading will become much safer and easier. Players will be able to exchange items directly through an official system inside the game. The developers have also shared several details about new areas and features that will arrive together with the trading update. Below is everything currently known about the release time and the new features coming to Fish It. Also check out our Fish It Codes for more rewards!

The update will also introduce a limited-time event that runs for about a week.

  • Event Duration: March 29 – April 5, 2026

During this period, players will have time to explore the new trading system and try the different features introduced in the update. Major updates like this usually also include additional content such as new locations or collectible items.

New Features in the Fish It Trading Update

The developers have confirmed several features that will arrive together with the trading system.

1. Trade Hub (Level 20 Requirement)

Trading will not be available for brand new players immediately. To access the system, players must reach Level 20 first. This requirement likely exists to reduce scams or unfair activity from newly created accounts. By setting a level requirement, the game encourages players to progress before they can start trading valuable items.

2. Trading Multiple Types of Items

The trading system will support more than just fish. Players will be able to exchange several different types of items, including:

  • Rod Skins
  • Boats
  • Emotes
  • Bobber Skins

This makes the system far more flexible. Instead of keeping items they no longer use, players can trade them for something more useful or desirable.

3. Trade Booth System

Another feature arriving in the update is the Trade Booth system. This works like a small marketplace inside the game. Players will be able to:

  • Sell items to other players
  • Buy items listed by other players
  • View items available in the current server

This system removes the need to manually search for people who want to trade. Instead, players can simply browse available listings and make deals directly.

4. New Trade Island

The update will also introduce a brand new island dedicated to trading. This island will likely become the main meeting point for players who want to buy, sell, or exchange items. Having a dedicated trading area should make the entire process more organized compared to the previous gift-based system.

5. Small Underwater City Expansion

Another part of the update includes an expansion of the Small Underwater City area. Although full details have not been revealed yet, the expansion could introduce new NPCs, additional quests, or other hidden content for players to discover.

6. Teaser for New Forgotten Fish

The developers also hinted at a new Forgotten Fish that may appear in future updates. Players already know rare fish such as Eater, and upcoming updates could introduce even more difficult and rare fish to catch. These additions may become valuable items in the new trading economy.

The Trading Update is shaping up to be one of the most important updates ever released for Fish It on Roblox. Not only does it improve how players exchange items, but it also adds a full trading ecosystem inside the game. With the addition of the Trade Hub, Trade Booth marketplace, and a dedicated trading island, item trading will become safer and much more convenient.

Players who want to take part should make sure their character reaches Level 20 before the update launches on March 29, 2026. Once the update goes live, the in-game market for cosmetics, skins, and rare items could become one of the most exciting parts of the game.
