Ennard (Doppelganger) Guide in Bite by Night
In Bite by Night, one of the most unique killers players can use is Ennard, also known in the game as Doppelganger. This killer focuses on deception, tracking, and pulling survivors into traps rather than relying only on raw damage.
Originally from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, Ennard is known for disguising itself and manipulating victims. In Bite by Night, this idea becomes a full gameplay mechanic, allowing players to impersonate survivors and confuse the entire team. This guide explains Ennard’s abilities, playstyle, and some useful tips to help you use the killer more effectively.
Ennard (Doppelganger) Overview
Doppelganger is considered one of the most advanced killers in the game. Instead of chasing constantly, the character works best when setting traps and confusing survivors.
Basic Stats
- Price: 6000 Scraps
- Walk Speed: 12
- Run Speed: 23
- Stamina: 70
- Role: Trapper / Impersonator
Because of the disguise ability, Ennard is great at ambushing players and breaking survivor teamwork.
Ennard Abilities Explained

Passive Ability – Trust No One
When Doppelganger is the killer, survivor statuses are hidden from other players. This means survivors cannot see whether teammates are alive or dead, making communication and coordination much harder. This passive ability already creates confusion before the chase even starts.
Swing
- Keybind: LMB
- Cooldown: 2.5 seconds
This is Ennard’s basic attack. The killer lunges forward and punches with a wire arm, dealing 32 damage if it connects. While it is a standard attack, the lunge distance can help finish off survivors after pulling them closer.
Wire Eyes
- Keybind: Q
- Cooldown: 15 seconds
Wire Eyes are one of Ennard’s best tracking tools. When activated, Ennard releases two mechanical eyes that wander around the nearby area. If a survivor gets too close, the eye will attach to them. While attached, the survivor will:
- Be revealed to the killer
- Move slower
- Receive periodic damage
- Become partially blinded
To remove the eye, the survivor must shake their camera until the removal bar fills. Once removed, the eye explodes and deals around 10–15 damage to anyone nearby. This ability is great for detecting survivors hiding behind objects.
Grab
- Keybind: E
- Cooldown: 12 seconds
Grab is a powerful ability used to control distance. Ennard shoots a wire forward in a straight line. If it hits a survivor, they are pulled directly toward the killer and released at close range.
This ability is perfect for:
- Pulling survivors out of safe areas
- Stopping escape attempts
- Setting up an instant attack combo
Most players will follow a successful Grab with a quick Swing.
Skin Stealer (Disguise Ability)
- Keybind: R
- Cooldown: None
Skin Stealer is what makes Ennard truly dangerous. After killing survivors, their avatars become available in a disguise menu. When selecting one, Ennard will wear their body and perfectly copy their appearance. While disguised:
- Ennard moves like a normal survivor
- The disguise includes accessories and class items
- The killer can blend in with survivor groups
The disguise will eventually explode after a duration or when the killer is stunned, revealing Ennard’s true form again. This ability allows the killer to walk directly into survivor groups before attacking.
Best Strategy for Playing Ennard
To play Doppelganger effectively, you should focus on deception instead of chasing constantly.
- Use Wire Eyes near objectives to detect hidden survivors
- Start fights by pulling enemies with Grab
- Disguise yourself and walk with survivor groups before attacking
- Hide your identity until the perfect moment
Because survivors cannot see each other’s status, they often cannot tell if the player near them is actually the killer.
Is Ennard Worth Unlocking?
At 6000 Scraps, Doppelganger is currently one of the most expensive killers in the game. However, the character offers one of the most unique playstyles available. Players who enjoy strategy, mind games, and stealth attacks will likely enjoy this killer more than simple chase-focused characters.
Ennard, also known as Doppelganger, is a killer built around deception and surprise attacks in Bite by Night. With abilities like Wire Eyes, Grab, and Skin Stealer, players can track survivors, pull them into danger, and even disguise themselves as teammates.
Mastering this character takes practice, but once used correctly, Ennard can easily break survivor teamwork and control the entire match. For players who enjoy confusing their opponents and setting clever traps, this killer is definitely worth trying.
