Paranoize Tier List, Best Characters Ranked!
Paranoize is a dark RPG that focuses heavily on strategy and team building. The game takes place in a mysterious world filled with strange anomalies that players must defeat using a team of powerful characters. With more than 80 units available, choosing the right fighters can make a huge difference during battles. Players must build a team of six characters, each with their own abilities, strengths, and combat style.
Some characters specialize in dealing massive damage, while others provide support through status effects like sleep, poison, or stun. Because of these differences, some units perform much better than others depending on the situation. To help players build stronger teams, this guide ranks the most useful characters in the game through a complete Paranoize tier list.

Best Characters in Paranoize (S Tier Explained)
Yui (Sunlit Respite)
Yui is one of the strongest support characters available. When she is attacked, she has a chance to put the attacker to sleep, creating an opportunity for your team to deal heavy damage. She also has strong survivability since she can recover lost HP during battle. Once her abilities are awakened, she becomes even more valuable for long fights and story progression.
Anna (Deadly Elegance)
Anna focuses on poison-based damage. Enemies who attack her may become poisoned, allowing her to deal consistent damage over time. She also gains increased damage against poisoned enemies, making her a perfect fit for poison-based teams. Another advantage is her survivability. When her HP falls below a certain threshold, she can restore both HP and MP.
Ryu (Kendo Rebel)
Ryu is extremely powerful for late-game stages. His attacks have a chance to put enemies to sleep, which makes them vulnerable to heavy damage from your team. When paired with characters that deal bonus damage to sleeping enemies, Ryu becomes even more dangerous.
Tomoya
Tomoya provides strong control abilities in combat. He can stun enemies that attack him, giving your team a short window to deal extra damage. He works particularly well with characters like Ryu because both units can create powerful burst damage opportunities through stun and sleep effects.
Renji
Renji is an excellent single-target attacker. When entering the battlefield as reinforcement, he can put two random enemies to sleep, allowing your team to quickly eliminate targets. He becomes especially deadly when facing enemies alone, as his damage increases significantly in those situations.
Shoko (The Smiling Predator)
Shoko focuses on poison-based combat. Her attacks can inflict poison on enemies, which deals damage over time. She also gains bonus damage against poisoned targets, making her extremely effective in combo setups. Even if she gets defeated, she can still deal damage to the enemy responsible.
How to Reroll in Paranoize
Rerolling allows players to start the game with a stronger character. This can make the early stages much easier and give you a better team from the beginning. Follow these steps to reroll in Paranoize:
- Launch the game on your device.
- Play through the introduction and watch the cutscenes until the summon feature unlocks.
- Use your three available summons on the Starter SSR Summon banner.
- If you do not receive a strong character, open your profile in the top left corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm and reset your progress.
After resetting, start the process again until you obtain a top-tier character.
Make sure not to link your account until you are satisfied with the character you receive. Once you get a strong unit, connect your account to a social platform to save your progress.
Choosing the right characters is one of the most important parts of progressing in Paranoize. While many units can work during the early game, stronger characters with better abilities will make battles much easier as the difficulty increases. Units like Yui (Sunlit Respite), Anna (Deadly Elegance), and Ryu (Kendo Rebel) currently stand out as some of the strongest options available.
If you manage to obtain them through rerolling or summoning, they can significantly improve your team’s performance. As the game continues to receive updates and new characters, the tier list may change. Keeping track of the strongest units will help you build better teams and clear content more efficiently.
