Mongil: Star Dive Tier List & Best Team Guide
Mongil: Star Dive is an action RPG built around team strategy, where you control three active characters in battle. While the game may feel simple at first, team composition quickly becomes the deciding factor—especially when you start tackling harder content.
With around 20 characters available in version 1.0, the meta has already started to settle. Knowing which units are worth investing in can save you a lot of time and resources, especially if you want to progress efficiently into mid and endgame. Understanding the Tier List and Roles
Before jumping into the rankings, it’s important to understand how the tier system works and what each role does. The tier list is divided into three main levels. S-Tier represents the strongest characters in the current meta. These units are highly efficient and dominate most game modes. A-Tier characters are still strong and flexible, but they don’t perform at the same level as S-Tier. B-Tier characters are usable, especially early on, but tend to fall off in tougher content.
Each character also fits into a specific role. Burst Damage units focus on dealing massive damage in a short time. Sustain Damage characters are built for consistent output over longer fights. Support units provide buffs, healing, or utility that keeps your team stable. Understanding this balance is key to building a strong team.

S-Tier (Top Meta Picks)
These are the strongest characters right now and are highly recommended for all types of content.
Burst Damage
- Mina
- Ophelia
Sustain Damage
- Esther
- Sangun
Support
- Daisy
These characters form the core of the current meta and are worth prioritizing if you get them.
A-Tier (Strong and Flexible Options)
A-Tier units are still very solid and can easily fill team slots if you don’t have full S-Tier units.
Burst / Hybrid
- Angel
- Benjamin
- Flare
- Reina
- Yeonhwa
Sustain / Utility
- Gabi
- Leeho
- Penny
- Verna

Best S-Tier Characters Explained
Mina (Fire – Burst Damage)
Mina is one of the strongest DPS characters in the game right now. Her abilities deal wide-area damage, making her excellent for clearing groups of enemies quickly. She also has a smooth skill rotation, allowing her to maintain high damage output with minimal downtime. This makes her effective in both farming and dungeon content.
Ophelia (Ice – Burst Damage)
Ophelia shines in boss fights. Her ability to break shields quickly gives her a huge advantage in high-difficulty content. Her burst damage is extremely high, making her one of the best picks for PvE endgame. If you’re planning to focus on bosses, she’s almost essential.
Esther (Wind – Sustain Damage)
Esther focuses on consistent damage over time. Her stealth and backstab mechanics allow her to deal strong DPS throughout long battles. She doesn’t rely on short burst windows, which makes her very reliable in extended fights where consistency matters more.
Sangun (Earth – Sustain Damage)
Sangun offers a more tactical playstyle. His kit revolves around control and counterattacks, making him stronger the longer a fight lasts. He’s a great option if you prefer a slower, more strategic approach instead of pure burst damage.
Daisy (Earth – Support)
Daisy stands out as the most valuable support character in the current meta. She fits into almost any team composition and provides strong buffs that improve overall performance. Her flexibility makes her hard to replace, especially if you want a stable and balanced team.
The current Mongil: Star Dive tier list clearly shows a few standout S-Tier characters dominating the meta. Mina and Ophelia lead in damage output, while Esther and Sangun provide stability in longer fights. On the support side, Daisy remains one of the most valuable units you can have.
That said, lower-tier characters are not useless. With the right team setup and good understanding of mechanics, you can still clear most content effectively. Focus on building a balanced team, invest your resources wisely, and you’ll have a much smoother path into mid and endgame content.
