Sol’s RNG Fishing Guide: All Fish, Rarities, Locations & Best Profit Tips
Fishing in Sol’s RNG is more than just a side activity. It’s a full system where every catch has different value depending on its rarity, weight, and mutations. Once you understand how it works, you can farm valuable fish much more efficiently instead of relying purely on luck. This guide covers everything you need, including how fishing works, the full fish list, biome exclusives, and which catches are actually worth your time.
How Fishing Works in Sol’s RNG
To start fishing, head to any water area at the edge of the map. Once you get close enough, a fishing option will appear, allowing you to begin. The process has two main phases. First is the waiting stage, where you simply wait a few seconds for a fish to bite. After that, the reeling minigame begins.
During the minigame, you need to keep a moving blue indicator inside a green zone. While doing this, a white progress bar fills up. To successfully catch the fish, the bar must pass a marked threshold before time runs out. It sounds easy, but since the green zone constantly moves, you need to stay focused the entire time.

How Fish Value Is Calculated
Every fish you catch has a sell value based on a simple formula: Weight × Rarity Multiplier × Mutation Multiplier. This means heavier fish with higher rarity and strong mutations are worth significantly more.
- Common: ×1
- Uncommon: ×1.5
- Rare: ×2
- Legendary: ×2.5
Fish Mutations Explained
Mutations are bonuses tied to the biome where the fish is caught. They greatly increase the final sell value. Here are all mutation types:
- Windy → Ruffled (×1.5)
- Snowy → Crusted (×1.5)
- Rainy → Slick (×1.5)
- Sandstorm → Rough (×2)
- Hell → Charred (×2.5)
- Starfall → Shimmering (×3)
- Corruption → Tainted (×3.5)
- Null → Hollow (×4)
- Dreamspace → Lucid (×4.5)
- Glitched → Fragmented (×5)
Higher-tier biomes give stronger mutations, making them the best places to farm valuable fish.
Biome-Exclusive Fish Locations
Some fish can only be found in specific biomes. If you’re not in the right biome, you won’t be able to catch them at all. Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Windy: Flying Fish, Wahoo, Sailfish, Striped Marlin
- Snowy: Coelacanth, Bluefin Tuna, Antarctic Icefish
- Rainy: Monk Fish, Pelican Eel, Goblin Shark, Umbrella Octopus
- Sandstorm: Skull Piranha, Skull Seahorse, Skull Mackerel, Skull Moray Eel
- Hell: Obsidian Tiger Oscar, Magma Discus, Ripsaw Catfish
- Starfall: Ghost Shark, Tripod Fish, Ocean Sunfish Fry, Barreleye, Starfish
- Heaven: Marine Angelfish, Freshwater Angelfish, Angel Shark, Clione
- Corruption: Wolf Eel, Hand Fish, Dragon Fish
- Null: Vanta Sunfish, Betta, Saw Shark, Vanta Ray
Fishing in Sol’s RNG becomes much more rewarding once you understand how everything connects. It’s not just about catching fish—it’s about targeting the right biome, aiming for better rarity, and stacking strong mutations. If you want to maximize profit, focus on high-rarity fish in strong mutation biomes and always aim for heavier catches. With the right approach, fishing can easily become one of the best ways to earn in the game.
