The new version of Locked 2 on Roblox brings a massive overhaul to how weapons work. Instead of relying on passive boosts like in the previous game, most abilities are now activatable, meaning timing and decision-making matter a lot more. With multiple rarities and completely reworked mechanics, understanding which weapons are actually worth using can give you a big advantage. Here’s a full breakdown of every weapon category and how strong they really are.
Common Weapons – Simple but Skill-Based
Common weapons are straightforward, but they rely heavily on timing and positioning rather than raw power.
- Stylish Reach increases your hitbox for a short time. This makes it easier to intercept or control the ball, but since it’s not passive anymore, you need to activate it at the right moment. It’s useful, but not game-changing.
- Direct Shot has been reworked into a timing-based mechanic. If you release it at the perfect moment, the shot becomes significantly faster. This adds a skill gap, making it much stronger in the hands of experienced players.
- Bear Claw guarantees a catch when activated, which makes it very reliable defensively. With a cooldown of around 25–30 seconds, it’s actually one of the more useful commons for consistent play.
Overall, common weapons are decent, but they depend on how well you use them rather than giving free advantages.
Rare Weapons – Solid Utility Picks
Rare weapons start to introduce more impactful abilities, especially for mobility and positioning.
- Bunny gives a higher jump when activated. It’s simple, but can help with aerial plays, especially if your character has lower height.
- Power Shot is a big upgrade for offensive players. It now has a charge mechanic, but the result is a very fast and powerful shot. It scales with your stats, making it much stronger in the right build.
- Stealthy Steps provides invisibility (partially visible now) and a speed boost. It’s best used for defense or repositioning rather than direct attacks.
- Super Fast Scissors gives movement with invincibility frames and lets you reposition quickly while controlling the ball. It’s a strong combo tool, especially when paired with other weapons.
Rare weapons are generally more useful than commons and can fit into many builds depending on your playstyle.
Epic Weapons – Strong and Sometimes Overpowered
Epic weapons are where things start to feel much stronger and sometimes even unbalanced.
- Primal Handstand gives a massive hitbox and works both in goalkeeping and outfield. It’s extremely powerful for defense and could easily be considered one of the strongest picks.
- Crushing Header is a high-impact aerial attack that can lead to easy scoring chances. Even with a longer cooldown, it feels very strong and may get nerfed.
- Monster Lift lifts the ball and provides movement, but it’s more situational compared to others. It works best when combined with other abilities.
- Black Hole Trap is a reworked version of a previously overpowered mechanic. It’s now more balanced and timing-based, making it fairer but still very effective.
Epic weapons are generally top-tier picks, especially for players who know how to chain abilities together.
Legendary Weapons – High Impact, High Skill
Legendary weapons offer strong effects but usually require better timing or positioning.
- Riptide Curve is excellent for passing and curved shots. It’s versatile and works well in both offensive and support roles, making it one of the safest legendary picks.
- Dragon Header is a fast and powerful shot, but it’s very timing-dependent and cannot be used midair. This makes it harder to use effectively compared to other options.
- Immense Speed starts slow but ramps up over time, becoming extremely fast. It’s much more noticeable on shorter characters, making it ideal for speed-based builds.
Legendary weapons are powerful, but they’re not always easy to use, especially for newer players.
Unique Weapons – Game-Changing but Situational
Unique weapons are the strongest in theory, but they often come with trade-offs.
- Big Bang Drive (reworked from older mechanics) allows aerial control and delayed shots. However, the animation makes it easier for defenders to react, reducing its effectiveness in competitive play.
- Emperor provides instant charge for shots, making it a strong offensive weapon. It’s simple but effective, especially for finishing plays.
- Serpent is one of the most interesting weapons. It can be charged, used midair, and has strong range. However, it comes with a very long cooldown (around 150 seconds), so you need to use it carefully.
Some unique weapons like King Chops and Meta Vision are not available yet, so the current pool is still incomplete.
Locked 2 shifts the focus from passive boosts to active gameplay decisions, which is a big change from the previous version. Weapons are no longer just “equip and forget”—you need to think about timing, combos, and positioning. The meta is still evolving, but one thing is clear: the best weapons are the ones you can use consistently under pressure.
