Choosing the right class in Survive The Apocalypse can completely change how far you survive. Some classes are great early on, while others become much stronger in late-game waves when zombies start overwhelming your base. D Tier – Beginner Only
Survivor
The Survivor class is easy to unlock and gives helpful early-game bonuses like slower hunger drain and small health regeneration. At higher levels, it can even save you from one lethal hit every few minutes. While that sounds useful, the overall impact is quite small compared to other classes. It’s a solid starter option, but you’ll want to replace it quickly once you unlock better classes.
C Tier – Situational Picks
Policeman
Policeman gives you a pistol, extra accuracy, and faster reload speed. While that sounds decent, guns are already easy to find in the game. The damage reduction hurts its usefulness, and overall it doesn’t bring enough value compared to other classes.
Guardian
Guardian focuses on defense with extra health, regen, and a taunt ability that forces zombies to target you. The problem is that drawing aggro can be risky, especially in later waves where enemies deal heavy damage. It can work in teams, but it’s not the most reliable choice.
B Tier – Solid Early to Mid Game
Scavenger
Scavenger is one of the best value classes for its cost. It gives movement speed, ammo on kills, and highlights nearby items through walls. The ammo perk alone makes a big difference since running out of ammo is common in longer runs.
Fighter

Assassin

Necromancer
Necromancer turns enemies into allies. It has a chance to convert zombies into your side and can even summon multiple units to fight for you. This becomes extremely powerful during large waves.
Commander
Commander is one of the strongest support classes. It boosts team damage, speed, and reload, while also weakening enemies. On top of that, it has an airstrike ability that deals massive area damage, perfect for clearing crowds.
Psychic (Best Overall)
Psychic stands out as the strongest class overall. It allows you to control floating weapons that attack automatically, gives extra weapon slots, and even provides a regenerating shield. This class combines offense, defense, and utility, making it incredibly powerful in almost every situation.
Survive The Apocalypse offers a wide range of classes, but not all of them scale equally as the game gets harder.
