Reaching the final stage of Quincy progression in Paradox is not something you can rush. If you’ve already unlocked your Schrift, the next major goal is getting Vollstandig—your ultimate transformation. Also check out our Paradox Codes for more rewards!

This form boosts your damage, improves your overall combat performance, and unlocks unique visuals that stand out in both PvE and PvP. However, unlocking it takes time, preparation, and a bit of strategy. Here’s a full guide covering the requirements, quest steps, and which Vollstandig forms are actually worth using.

Requirements Before Unlocking Vollstandig

Before you can even begin the process, your character needs to meet several conditions. Missing even one of these will prevent you from starting the quest.

  • First, you must be playing as a Quincy. Other races cannot access this transformation.
  • Second, your character needs to already have a Schrift unlocked. Vollstandig builds directly on top of this system, so it’s not optional.
  • Lastly, you must reach at least 705 Potential. You can check your current Potential by speaking to the NPC Julian in Karakura Town or by viewing your character slot menu.

If your Potential stops increasing, it means you’ve hit a cap. To remove it, you’ll need to defeat Boss Kisuke, located near the edge of Karakura Town. Once that’s done, you can continue progressing.

How to Start the Vollstandig Quest

The questline begins with Yhwach, but finding him isn’t always straightforward. He only appears in the Quincy hub, Wandenreich, and his spawn is time-based. He shows up once every two hours, so if you don’t see him, you’ll need to wait for the next cycle.

To locate him faster, press the comma key ( , ) to activate your map markers. This will point you directly to his position when he spawns. After talking to Yhwach, you’ll receive a set of objectives that can be completed in any order.

Quest Objectives You Need to Complete

The Vollstandig quest is split into three main challenges:

  • You need to defeat 20 Soul Reaper players in PvP.
  • You also need to eliminate 20 Arrancar players.
  • On top of that, you must defeat four specific bosses: Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, Stark, and Big Blud.

This part is where most players spend the most time, especially with PvP requirements. To make things easier, it’s better to team up with friends instead of grinding alone. Group play helps you secure kills faster and reduces the time needed to finish all 40 eliminations.

For combat, make use of the Quincy Blut passive, which reduces incoming damage and improves survivability. Using a bow to deal damage from a distance is also a safer way to approach fights before committing to close combat.

Final Trial: The Maze

After completing all objectives, return to Yhwach. He will send you into a special trial known as the Maze.

  • This part can feel confusing at first, but there’s a simple way to clear it.
  • As soon as you enter, stick to the left wall and follow it continuously. Do not switch directions. If you keep moving along the left side, you’ll eventually reach a long hallway.
  • At the end of that path, you’ll find a glowing blue door. Enter it, and you’ll meet the true version of Yhwach.

Interact with him and accept his power. Once you do that, Vollstandig will be permanently unlocked on your character.

Vollstandig Tier List (April 2026)

Not every Vollstandig performs the same. Your transformation depends on your Schrift, and some are clearly stronger than others in the current meta.

  • S Tier – Death Dealing (Legendary) This is currently the strongest option, especially for PvP. It deals percentage-based damage and applies poison effects, making it extremely effective in both duels and group fights.
  • A Tier – Fear (Legendary) A strong defensive option with an auto-dodge effect. It’s powerful, but requires good timing and awareness to fully utilize.
  • A Tier – Heat (Common) One of the best choices among common types. It offers strong combo potential and high burst damage, making it reliable in most situations.
  • B Tier – Explode (Rare) Very strong in the right hands, but heavily dependent on specific builds and timing. Best suited for players who understand its mechanics well.
  • C Tier – Power (Common) Currently underwhelming. Its short range and inconsistent hit detection make it difficult to use effectively, especially in competitive PvP.

Unlocking Vollstandig is one of the biggest milestones for Quincy players in Paradox. It takes effort, but the payoff is worth it once you see the boost in performance and abilities. Focus on meeting the requirements first, complete the objectives efficiently with a group, and don’t overcomplicate the maze. Once you unlock it, your character will feel significantly stronger and more complete for endgame content.
