Neverness to Everness takes a very different approach compared to most gacha games. Instead of the usual summon animation, the game turns every pull into a board game experience. This system, called Scarborough Fair, mixes luck with a more interactive feel, where every roll moves your piece across a reward board.

If you’re planning to save currency or target specific characters, understanding how this system works will make a big difference. Here’s a complete breakdown in a simple and easy-to-follow format. Also check out our Neverness to Everness Beginner Guide for new players!

How the Dice Board Gacha Works

In Neverness to Everness, you don’t “pull” characters in the usual way. Instead, you roll dice and move a piece called a Chuppa across a board. Each roll moves you between 1 to 6 tiles. Wherever you land determines your reward, which can include:

  • S-class characters
  • A-class characters
  • Weapons (Arcs)
  • Skins
  • Currency
  • Extra dice rolls

There are two main boards:

  • Limited Board – Features rate-up characters
  • Standard Board – Permanent character pool

Even though it looks interactive, outcomes are still based on drop rates behind the scenes. The board just makes the experience feel more engaging.

Gacha Currency in NTE

Here are the main currencies you’ll use:

  • Fabricated Dice – Used for Standard Board
  • Solid Dice – Used for Limited Board
  • Tri-Key – Used for weapon banner (Arc Research Program)
  • Annulith – Premium currency (160 = 1 pull)

A 10-pull always costs 1,600 Annulith, no matter the banner.

Limited Banner Rates and Pity System

The Limited Board is where things get interesting—and very player-friendly.

Base Rates:

  • S-class character: 1.87%
  • A-class (character or Arc): 22.98%

Key Features:

  • No 50/50 system — S-class is always the featured character
  • Guaranteed S-class within 90 pulls
  • Board Modification activates at 70 pulls

Once you hit 70 pulls without an S-class:

  • Drop rate jumps to 19.59%
  • More tiles turn into S-class rewards
  • Much higher chance to get the featured unit early

Most players will get the featured character between 70–90 pulls.

Also, every 10 pulls gives a guaranteed A-class item.

Board Tiles and Rewards Explained

The board has different tile types, each with unique rewards:

  • Apprentice Chest (Purple) Common tile, small chance for S-class, usually gives B-class Arc
  • Hero Chest (Gold) Higher chance for S-class + bonus Warp Pieces
  • Journey Together Guarantees a specific character shown on the tile
  • Arc Light Mystery Box Random A-class weapon
  • Warp / Lost Pieces Tiles Currency rewards
  • Roll Again Free extra dice roll
  • Slumberland (Guardian) Mini chase event, rewards 30 Warp Pieces if successful
  • Card Tiles (A/S) Guaranteed A-class or S-class (featured)

Secret Fair (Bonus Area)

Some tiles can take you to the Secret Fair, a special section with better rewards. Here you can get:

  • Free dice (up to 5)
  • Exclusive skins
  • Vehicle cosmetics
  • S-class character tiles

Think of it as a bonus round with higher value rewards.

Does Pity Carry Over?

Neverness to Everness Gacha System Explained (Scarborough Fair Guide)

This is one of the best parts of the system.

What Carries Over:

  • Limited character pity
  • Standard banner pity
  • Weapon banner pity

What Does NOT Carry Over:

  • Cosmetic milestone progress (except on reruns)

Simple Examples:

  • If you stop at 65 pulls, your next banner starts at 65 pity
  • Hit 70 later → Board Modification activates instantly
  • Weapon pity also continues between banners

This means no pulls are wasted, which is rare for gacha games.

Cosmetic Milestone System

Each Limited Board has exclusive skins at:

  • 50 pulls
  • 120 pulls
  • 200 pulls

These skins:

  • Can drop early (low chance)
  • Do NOT carry over to other banners
  • DO carry over if the same banner returns

This system is mostly optional and aimed at collectors.

Standard Banner Features

The Standard Board works similarly but has beginner perks:

Beginner Benefits:

  • First 50 pulls get a 20% discount (8 dice per 10-pull)
  • After 50 pulls, you get 1 free S-class character (choice)

You can save this selection and claim it anytime.

Weapon Banner (Arc Research Program)

The weapon banner uses Tri-Keys and only allows multi-pulls.

Rates:

  • S-class Arc: 3%
  • Guaranteed S-class within 60 pulls
  • Featured weapon guaranteed within 80 pulls

This is cheaper compared to many other games, making weapons easier to target.

Warp Pieces and Lost Pieces

Duplicates are converted into currency:

Warp Pieces:

  • From S-class and A-class duplicates
  • Used for valuable shop items

Lost Pieces:

  • From B-class duplicates
  • Used for monthly pull items

Important Tip:

Always prioritize monthly shop items:

  • 5 Solid Dice
  • 5 Fabricated Dice
  • 20 Tri-Keys

These are essentially free pulls every month.

Neverness to Everness offers one of the more forgiving gacha systems out there. With no 50/50 system, guaranteed featured characters, and pity that carries over between banners, it removes a lot of the frustration players usually face. The dice board adds a fresh twist, even if the results are still RNG behind the scenes. More importantly, the system respects your progress—every pull moves you closer to your goal. If you’re playing free-to-play, you can safely focus on characters and ignore cosmetics. With smart planning, it’s very possible to build a strong roster without spending much.
