Locked 2 Ranked Mode Update Guide, All Ranks & New Codes!

The latest Locked 2 update finally delivers one of the most requested features, and it changes how players approach the game completely. With ranked mode now live, along with new systems, maps, and rewards, this update feels like a major step forward rather than just a small patch. Whether you’re playing casually or aiming to climb the ladder, there’s a lot to take in. If you just logged in or are planning to jump back in, here’s a full guide covering ranked mode, new features, codes, and everything else added in this update. Also check out our Locked 2 Codes for more rewards!

Ranked Mode Is Finally Here

Ranked mode is now available and comes with two different formats:

  • 6v6 for full team play
  • 2v2 for smaller, more competitive matches

Each mode has its own ranking system and skill-based matchmaking. This means you can either climb solo with one teammate or coordinate with a full squad depending on your playstyle. Winning ranked matches also gives 50% more Yen compared to normal games, making it the best way to farm currency while improving your rank.

All Ranks and Rewards

There are seven main ranks in the system, each with multiple tiers:

  • Bronze (III – I)
  • Silver (III – I)
  • Gold (III – I)
  • Platinum (III – I)
  • Diamond (III – I)
  • Egoist (RR system)
  • World Class (Top 100 players)

The higher you climb, the better your seasonal rewards:

  • Diamond players receive a rank badge
  • Egoist players unlock a badge and custom player background
  • World Class players get all rewards plus a free slot

Keep in mind, leaving a ranked match early will cost you 50 RR, so it’s important to stay until the end.

New Character Slot System

The update also introduces a brand-new slot system. You’re no longer limited to a single character setup.

You can now:

  • Create multiple character slots
  • Customize each slot with unique icons
  • Rename them however you like

Each slot costs 299, and there’s no limit to how many you can own. Even better, the price does not increase, no matter how many slots you buy.

New Weapon: Judo Spacing

A new defensive weapon called Judo Spacing has been added, inspired by Aryu’s playstyle.

This ability creates a zone around you that slows down opponents inside it by 30%. It’s designed to help you control space and keep up with faster players.

  • Type: Defensive
  • Cooldown: 60 seconds

This is especially useful in ranked matches where positioning matters more than raw speed.

AFK Area for Passive Yen

For players who want a more relaxed way to earn currency, there’s now an AFK Area available.

You can access it by going to the gym and talking to Barou. Once inside, your character will automatically earn:

  • 100 Yen every 90 seconds

It’s a simple way to build up resources while not actively playing.

New Goalkeeper Mode

A new mechanic allows players to take control of the goalkeeper role manually.

By pressing the goalkeeper keybind inside the penalty box, you can replace the AI and defend the goal yourself. This feature is only available in:

  • 6v6
  • 4v4

It adds a new layer of strategy, especially in competitive matches.

Gifting System Added

You can now send gifts to other players directly in-game.

Through the gift menu, you can give:

  • Yen
  • Character slots

This makes it easier to support friends or share resources within your group.

New Maps and Visual Updates

Two new maps have been introduced:

  • Second Selection Map (Common)
  • World Five Map (Rare)

In addition, all flow icons have been updated with improved visuals. You can check them in your inventory or the in-game shop.

Gameplay Changes and Balance Updates

Several adjustments have been made to improve overall gameplay balance:

  • Power Shot buff: charge speed increased
  • Metavision nerf: reduced speed boost
  • Speed stacking now has diminishing returns
  • Dribble and kick hitboxes reduced
  • Forfeit system added (win if opponents leave)
  • Improved loading system before matches start
  • AI goalkeeper now passes to open teammates

These changes aim to make matches feel more fair and skill-based.

All New Working Codes

Here are the latest redeemable codes you can use right now:

  • 20KFAVS
  • 25KFAVS
  • 5MILVISITS
  • LONGSHUTDOWN
  • RANKEDUPDATE
  • TY20KLIKES
  • VIPBUG

Make sure to redeem them as soon as possible before they expire.

This Locked 2 update is easily one of the biggest so far, introducing systems that impact both casual and competitive players. Ranked mode alone adds a long-term goal for many players, while features like slots, gifting, and AFK farming improve the overall experience.

With more structured progression and better rewards, the game now offers more reasons to keep playing consistently. If you’re aiming to climb ranks or just want to explore the new content, this update is definitely worth your time.
