Starting your first day in Neverness to Everness can feel a bit overwhelming. There are a lot of systems unlocking quickly, and if you don’t know what to focus on, you can easily waste time or resources. The good news is that with the right approach, you can progress smoothly without grinding too hard. This guide breaks down everything you should do on Day 1, in the correct order, so you can move faster and build a strong foundation early on.

1. Focus on Story First
At the beginning, your main goal is simple: push the main story as far as possible.
While progressing, make sure to activate every teleporter you see, including towers and phone booths. These give free Hunter EXP and make traveling much easier later. It might feel small at first, but it saves a lot of time in the long run.
After your first sleep in the story, several important features will unlock, including the summon system. This is also the best moment if you plan to reroll or start pulling for characters.
2. Smart Summoning Strategy
Once you unlock summons, you’ll get enough resources for multiple pulls. Instead of rushing, use this simple strategy.
Do all your pulls first before using any selector. After reaching 50 pulls, you’ll get an S-Rank selector. Use it after summoning so you don’t accidentally pick a duplicate.
For strong early picks:
- Sakiri is a safe choice with buffs, grouping, and debuffs
- Daffodil is powerful for breaking enemies but harder to play
If you don’t care about meta, just pick the character you enjoy. The game is still friendly for casual players.
3. Use Stamina Carefully
When stamina unlocks, don’t spend everything at once.
Start by doing one or two runs for EXP materials. This small investment early will help you later when upgrading characters becomes more expensive.
After that, go back to progressing the story. Early game is more about unlocking systems than farming everything immediately.
4. Unlock City System and Earn Money
As you progress, you will unlock the city and tycoon systems. This is where you start earning fonts, the main currency in the game.
Buy your first car as soon as possible and do at least three races. If you have time, you can do more. Every activity in the city uses stamina but gives a good amount of fonts.
This currency is very important for upgrades, cosmetics, and long-term progression, so don’t ignore it.
5. Set Up Your Cafe Early
The cafe system is one of the best passive income sources in the game, and you should set it up as soon as it unlocks.
Start by recruiting two staff members. Some characters, like Haniel, have useful perks that make them great early choices.
Always choose the food with the highest profit and keep materials stocked. As your cafe levels up, new food options will unlock, so keep updating your setup.
Your main goal is to increase popularity because it directly boosts income. Use better tables and chairs, fill all decoration slots, and choose simple, cheap decor if needed.
As your cafe grows, repeat the same process. Upgrade, restock, and collect income regularly. This system scales very quickly if managed well.
6. Get a Free S-Rank Weapon
There is a hidden quest early in the game that gives you a free S-Rank Arc weapon.
You need to revisit the starting area and interact with a specific NPC called Eclipse at different times and locations. After completing the sequence, you’ll receive a strong weapon that can carry you through early content.
In addition, every boss you defeat for the first time drops an S-Rank Arc. Try to clear a few bosses early if you can handle them.
7. Continue Progress and Level Up
After setting up your basics, aim to reach around Hunter Level 14.
You can do this by:
- Completing side quests
- Exploring the map
- Clearing anomalies
Use your stamina to upgrade your main DPS or key support characters. Focus on leveling, weapons, and skills first.
Avoid heavy farming for endgame gear at this stage. It’s better to wait until higher levels where rewards improve.
8. Gear and Module Tips
When you unlock the gear system, don’t stress about perfect stats.
Use what you have and focus on simple upgrades. For DPS characters, prioritize attack, crit rate, crit damage, and damage bonuses.
If a piece has bad substats, don’t invest in it. Save your resources for better gear later.
9. Unlock Extra Income Systems
You can also start unlocking house features and special furniture on Day 1.
Simple actions like repairing your car, placing furniture, or completing certain anomalies will unlock additional systems that give daily rewards.
These may seem small, but they add up over time and help your overall progress.
10. What to Do Before Logging Off
Before ending your session, make sure you finish a few daily tasks.
Collect your cafe income and use any remaining stamina. Do character interactions on the map to gain bond EXP, and give gifts if you have them.
You can also collect rewards from systems like the fountain, which gives special currency that can be exchanged for items, including weapons.
Your first day in Neverness to Everness sets the pace for everything that comes after. By focusing on story progression, managing your resources properly, and setting up key systems like the cafe early, you can avoid common mistakes and move ahead much faster. Take it step by step, don’t rush unnecessary farming, and make sure you grab all the free rewards available. With a strong start, the rest of the game becomes much smoother and more enjoyable.
