Fortnite Reforged Infinity Blade Guide – How to Get It!

The Infinity Blade has made a return in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, but this time it comes with a new version. The Ice Kingdom has rebuilt the weapon and added several changes to make it stronger in some ways, but also more balanced compared to before. If you’re trying to find it and understand how it works now, here’s everything you need to know.

How to Get the Reforged Infinity Blade

You can’t find the Reforged Infinity Blade through normal loot. It doesn’t appear in chests or on the ground like regular weapons. Instead, it only shows up during a special in-match event.

The blade becomes available when a Rift Anomaly appears. When this happens, you’ll see a notification on your screen. After that, open your mini-map and look for sword icons. These icons mark the possible spawn points.

There is no fixed location for the blade, so it can appear anywhere on the map. In most matches, up to four blades can spawn at the same time, but not every match will have them.

Once you reach the location, you need to pull the sword out of the ground. Be careful during this moment because you are still vulnerable. Other players can attack you before the animation finishes, so it’s best to clear the area first before trying to grab it.

Reforged Infinity Blade Damage and Abilities

The new version of the Infinity Blade gives you multiple ways to attack, making it more flexible in fights.

Here are the main attack options:

• Swing deals 90 damage at close range
• Leap attack deals 110 damage and helps you close distance quickly
• Air Slam also deals 110 damage and works best from above

The Swing is your basic attack and works well in close fights. The Leap helps you jump toward enemies and hit them fast, while the Air Slam is useful if you already have high ground.

What Changed From the Old Infinity Blade?

The original Infinity Blade was known for being too strong. It gave players too many advantages and often made matches feel unfair. This new version fixes many of those issues.

Here are the biggest changes:

• It now only takes 2 inventory slots instead of 5
• Health and shield bonus is reduced to +25 each
• Leap and Air Slam distance are shorter than before
• You can sprint while holding the blade
• Attack animations are smoother with less delay

The reduced slot cost is one of the biggest improvements. You can now carry other weapons along with the blade, which makes your loadout more flexible.

The lower health and shield bonus also means you are not as hard to defeat as before. You still get a boost, but it’s not overwhelming.

Another important change is movement. You can now sprint while holding the blade, and sprinting gives you better jump height. This makes it easier to set up strong attacks like the Air Slam.

Reforged Infinity Blade Power Hour Event

If you want a better chance of getting the blade, there is a special event called Power Hour. During this event, the chances of finding the blade are much higher.

Power Hour takes place on May 3, 2026, with different times depending on your region. During this period, Rift Anomalies will appear in every match, so you don’t have to rely on luck.

On top of that, the blade can also appear as regular loot during the event, although at a low chance. This makes it much easier to try the weapon compared to normal matches.

There are also temporary buffs during Power Hour. The blade deals more damage with swings, and sprinting speed is slightly increased. This makes it the best time to experience the weapon at its strongest.

The Reforged Infinity Blade feels like a much better version of the original. It’s still powerful, but it no longer dominates the entire match. You get more freedom to build your loadout, and fights feel more balanced overall. If you want to use it, focus on Rift Anomalies and take advantage of the Power Hour event. With the right timing and positioning, this weapon can still give you a strong edge in battle without making the game feel unfair.
