The latest update in Roblox brings one of the biggest content drops yet, centered around the Music Venue Takeover. This update adds multiple questlines, several new rods, and a mix of mechanics that range from simple item collection to more complex mutation-based challenges. If you’re just getting started, it can feel overwhelming since there are many quests happening at once. This guide breaks everything down clearly so you can progress through each rod efficiently without getting stuck. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!

Overview of the Music Venue Update

Once you enter the Music Venue area, you’ll immediately notice a large number of NPCs offering quests. There are around eight main questlines, each tied to a unique rod.

These rods include:

  • Soul Reaper Rod
  • Steampunk Rod
  • Acid Grinder Rod
  • Part Rod
  • Cast Bound Rod
  • Wingkeeper Rod
  • Remembrance Rod

Each one has its own mechanics, requirements, and rewards. Some are straightforward, while others require specific rods, mutations, or even exploration across multiple regions.

Soul Reaper Rod Questline (Reaper NPC)

This is one of the longest and most detailed questlines in the update. You’ll start by turning in a Shiny, Sparkling, Darkened Rubber Ducky, which can be traded or obtained from other players. After that, the quest becomes more demanding since you’ll need to catch specific mutated fish yourself. Key steps include:

  • Catching a Spirit Ancient Depth Serpent (Depths area during Absolute Darkness)
  • Catching a Soul-Touched Log using Hades Soul Scythe
  • Catching Distraught Scrap Metal with the Dream Breaker Rod
  • Catching Phantom String using the Idolon Rod

After completing these steps, you’ll receive three items: Handle, Blade, and Bonds. These must be delivered to hidden ghost NPCs located across the map, including a volcano peak, Keeper’s Altar, and Living Garden.

Once all items are turned in, return to Reaper to unlock the Soul Reaper Rod. This rod has extremely high stats and a passive that can trigger extra catches and paranormal mutations, making it one of the strongest rods in the update.

Steampunk Rod Questline (Rivet NPC)

This questline starts off simple but becomes more grind-heavy later.

At first, you only need to gather basic materials like:

  • Rusty Bolt
  • Broken Gear
  • Scrap Metal

After that, you’ll need mutated versions with:

  • Purified
  • Midas
  • Crystallized

Once completed, you’ll unlock a motorcycle and be required to travel around 75,000 studs. This part is more about time investment than difficulty.

The final reward is the Steampunk Rod, which introduces a unique kinetic energy system. As you catch fish, energy builds up, and once activated, it boosts your fishing performance and guarantees certain mutations during its active phase.

Acid Grinder Rod Questline (Axel NPC)

This questline focuses heavily on the Brine Pool area.

You’ll begin by catching a Tainted Brine Phantom, which requires a special toxin-based rod. After that, you’ll need to catch a Brine Sovereign during a Brine Storm.

The final challenge involves catching an Acidic Caustic Starworm using the Acid Grinder Rod itself. This is one of the harder catches due to its difficulty and timing requirements.

Once completed, you’ll unlock the full version of the Acid Grinder Rod along with access to Acidic mutations.

Part Rod Questline (Base NPC)

This is one of the simplest questlines in the update.

You’ll need to:

  • Catch an Exploded Tire using a Boom Ball
  • Catch a Part Rock
  • Catch a Part Blue Whale during a whale migration

The rod itself is not powerful stat-wise, but it guarantees the Part mutation, making it useful for specific farming setups.

Cast Bound Rod Questline (Guide NPC)

This questline introduces a unique fishing mechanic tied to a special area called Shimmer.

Steps include:

  • Catching 10 Shiny Flying Fish
  • Completing 150 Perfect Catches inside Shimmer (located in Vertigo)

After that, you’ll need to present several rods to unlock the full version.

The Cast Bound Rod has a fast-paced passive where maintaining control triggers repeated “slashes” that speed up your catch progress. It also allows fishing inside Shimmer, which acts like a special multi-fish zone.

Wingkeeper Rod Questline (Seraphel NPC)

This questline involves multiple mutation-based catches:

  • Heavenly Handfish (Heaven’s Rod required)
  • Celestial Flying Fish
  • Blessed Harmonic Dove
  • Nova Wyvern

Most of these require returning to the “Above the Clouds” area multiple times.

The Wingkeeper Rod has a day/night system:

  • Daytime boosts progress speed but lowers control
  • Nighttime reduces speed but enables special mutations

This makes it a flexible rod depending on your playstyle.

Remembrance Rod Questline (Lunith NPC)

This is easily one of the most time-consuming quests in the update.

You’ll start by catching:

  • Forgotten Orca
  • Glowy Penguin (using Crab Cage + Glow bait)

After that, the real grind begins. You’ll need to collect multiple butterfly variants, each with different mutations and quantities. These must all be caught manually, not traded.

Some required types include:

  • Albino
  • Chaotic
  • Distraught
  • Blessed
  • Mourned
  • Fluttering
  • Departed

The Remembrance Rod itself has two modes:

  • Living Mode
  • Departed Mode

Each mode affects which mutations you can obtain, adding another layer of complexity.

The Music Venue Takeover update in Fisch is packed with content, and most of it leans heavily into progression, mutations, and exploration. Some rods are quick to unlock, while others demand a serious time investment. If you’re aiming to complete everything, it’s best to prioritize based on your current gear and progress. The Soul Reaper and Cast Bound rods stand out early, while Remembrance is more of a long-term goal. There are still secrets left in this update, including the highly talked-about Lullaby Rod, which hasn’t been fully solved yet. For now, focus on these questlines and build up your collection step by step.
