Unlocking the Lullaby Rod in Fisch opens up a completely different way to fish, especially once you realize it has multiple modes tied to special quests. Each mode comes with its own passive bonuses and slightly different gameplay feel, making it more than just a simple upgrade. If you’re aiming to get the most out of this rod, understanding every variant is a must. This guide breaks down all four Lullaby Rod modes, how to unlock them, and what each one actually does. By the end, you’ll know which mode fits your playstyle and how to complete the full questline without confusion.

How to Unlock All Lullaby Modes

Before you can access all modes, you need to finish the main Lullaby Rod questline and return to Simon. After that, you’ll receive three quests at the same time, each tied to a different mode. It’s best to accept all of them immediately so you don’t have to keep going back.

Each quest requires catching specific fish with certain conditions, and some of them take place in different areas like Mariana’s Veil or the Apollo zone. Once all three are done, you unlock a final quest that leads to the last and strongest mode.

1. Fortuitous Harmony (Green Mode)

This is one of the first variants you’ll complete, and it focuses heavily on improving your chances of getting better fish.

To finish this quest, you’ll need to catch rare targets like the Crystallized Sea Dragon or Rainbow Cluster with a perfect catch. These are usually found deep in late-game areas, so make sure you’re properly prepared before going in.

The main benefit of this mode is:

  • +40% Luck
  • +10% Fish Weight

This makes it ideal if you’re hunting rare fish or trying to increase the overall value of your catches. However, the mini-game becomes a bit more challenging since the timing mechanic speeds up significantly. It’s not impossible, but it takes some getting used to if you’re not comfortable with fast inputs.

2. Strengthening Melody (Red Mode)

This mode is more focused on raw stats and progression, making it useful for players who want steady growth.

To unlock it, you’ll need to complete tasks in the Apollo area, including catching a Sunlit Harmonic Dove using Apollo’s Sunshot rod. On top of that, you also need to collect 12 Broken Arrows with perfect catches, which are considered trash items. Using garbage bait helps a lot here.

The bonuses you get include:

  • Increased Max Weight Capacity
  • Extended Line Distance
  • +50% XP Gain

This mode is great for leveling up quickly and handling heavier fish without struggling. The mini-game is simpler compared to others since it focuses on a single central timing zone, making it easier to maintain consistency.

3. Quickening Symphony (Blue Mode)

If speed is what you’re after, this mode delivers exactly that. It’s all about making your fishing process faster and smoother.

To complete this quest, you’ll need to catch an Angler Fish with a specific mutation (like Electric or Electric Shock) and also hunt a Voidglow Ghostfish in deeper areas like Abyssal Zenith. These are not easy catches, especially with strict conditions like weather and time.

The passive bonuses are:

  • +20% Lure Speed
  • +20% Progress Speed

This mode works well when you’re grinding or farming resources. The faster lure and progress speed mean less waiting and more catching. The mini-game is slightly easier than others since it splits into two sections instead of three.

4. Prismatic Symphonia (Final Mode)

This is the ultimate Lullaby Rod mode and unlocks after completing the final quest called “Such Impossible Bliss.” For this step, you only need a lunar fish, and you must trigger the event at night by aligning it with the moon.

Once completed, you gain access to a combined mode that stacks multiple bonuses from the previous variants.

Some of the key effects include:

  • Increased mutation chances (Prismatic & Mythical)
  • Boosted Luck, XP, and Lure Speed
  • Higher Fish Weight and Line Distance
  • Extra chances for Shiny and Sparkling fish

While this mode is clearly the strongest, it also has the hardest mini-game. The timing zones are smaller, and the speed is much faster, making it difficult to maintain long streaks. Still, if you can handle the challenge, the rewards are easily worth it.

Which Lullaby Mode Should You Use?

Each mode serves a different purpose, so there isn’t a single “best” option for every situation. Fortuitous Harmony is perfect for rare fish hunting, Strengthening Melody helps with leveling and stats, while Quickening Symphony speeds up grinding sessions.

Prismatic Symphonia, on the other hand, is the all-in-one option but requires more skill to use effectively. In most cases, switching between modes depending on your goal is the smartest way to play. If you’re farming XP, go with Strengthening. If you’re chasing rare drops, Fortuitous is the better pick.

The Lullaby Rod system in Fisch adds a lot of depth compared to regular fishing mechanics. Instead of sticking to one setup, you get multiple playstyles through different modes, each rewarding you in a unique way. Unlocking all four takes time and effort, but the payoff is worth it once you start seeing faster progress and better catches. If you’re aiming to fully complete the game or just want to optimize your fishing runs, taking the time to unlock and understand every Lullaby mode will make a big difference.
