Getting stronger in Pirate Piece isn’t just about leveling up. Most of your power actually comes from specs—things like fruits, fists, swords, and abilities. Each one has its own grind, materials, and sometimes long trial quests that can take time if you don’t know what you’re doing. This guide breaks down every major spec in the game and how to unlock them. Instead of jumping between islands blindly, you can follow this and work toward each upgrade step by step without wasting resources.

All Fruits and How to Get Them

Fruits are usually your first major power spike, and they’re also the easiest to start with compared to other specs.

  • Invisible, Gum, Bomb, and Dragon Fruits
You can find these at the Restaurant. The only way to obtain them is by spinning Devil Fruits using either 15,000 Coins or 50 Gems. Since this is RNG-based, you might need multiple spins before getting the fruit you want. If you’re aiming for Dragon specifically, it’s better to save up resources instead of spending randomly early on.
  • Kaen Daiko (Kaioen Mode – Dragon)
This is a major upgrade for Dragon users and is located at Water 7. You’ll need 4 Dragon Fruits and 8 Dragon Scales just to start. After that, there are five trials including defeating every island boss with Dragon equipped, beating the Dragon Boss 20 times, and even collecting another Dragon Fruit drop. The final step requires 200k Ancient Coins, so expect a long grind before unlocking this form.

All Fists (Fighting Styles)

Fists are important if you prefer close combat or want to stack damage through combos and fast hits.

  • Bruly (Broly)
Found on Snow Island, but you must already have Aizen and Cid before unlocking it. You also need 3 Dragon Orbs. The trials are grind-heavy, requiring thousands of hits and hundreds of kills. You’ll also need to use specific skills like Ground Smash, Hado 90, and I Am Atomic multiple times. This spec is clearly designed for late-game players who already have multiple builds completed.
  • Galaxy Fists (Garp)
Located at Water 7, this spec requires 10 Old Garp Fragments. The trials focus more on mobility and endurance. You’ll need to clear 800 Infinite Tower waves in total, use Geppo and dash frequently, and complete specific combat challenges like hitting enemies repeatedly with Bad Fist. It’s a balanced grind between skill usage and survival performance.

All Swords and Weapons

Swords and weapons define your playstyle heavily, especially if you prefer ranged or hybrid combat.

  • Vasto Sword (Ichigo)
This is one of the easiest weapons to obtain, available at Starter Island for just 2,500 Coins. It’s perfect for beginners and also required for later upgrades, so you should grab it early.
  • Modded Vasto Sword (Modded Ichigo)
This version is locked behind a 19 Robux purchase and only available during your first 30 minutes in-game. If you miss it, you won’t be able to get it again, so it’s a limited-time decision.
  • Slime Sword (Cid)
Found in the Forest, this weapon requires a heavy investment: 250k Coins, 300 Gems, 50 Purple Slime, and 40 Luffey Hats. Farming these materials can take a while, especially the drops, so it’s best to focus on this after mid-game progression.
  • Coyote Stark Guns (Starrk)
Also located in the Forest, but much harder to unlock. You need Ichigo and Cid first, plus large amounts of Gems, Emeralds, Wood, and Hunter Marks. The trials include killing thousands of enemies, defeating bosses like Aizen and Goku, and reaching Wave 50 in Infinite Tower. This is one of the most demanding weapon unlocks in the game.

All Abilities and How to Unlock Them

Abilities are where your build really comes together. Most of them require previous specs, making them part of a long progression chain.

  • Goujo (Gojo)
Available at the Restaurant, this ability is expensive but simple. You’ll need 3 million Coins, 5,000 Gems, and 5 Six Eyes Fragments. No trials here, but the cost alone makes it a late-game unlock.
  • Ayzen (Aizen)
Located in Hollow Dunes and requires Ichigo and Cid. You’ll need Hogyoku Fragments and Aizen Scrolls, followed by trials that involve using Getsuga Tensho, Blink, and dealing thousands of hits. It’s a mix of skill usage and combat grinding.
  • Sokuna (Sukuna)
Found in Curse World, and almost identical to Aizen in terms of trials. You’ll need Sukuna Fingers and Scrolls, along with the same requirements like using Getsuga Tensho and Blink. If you’ve already completed Aizen, this will feel familiar but still time-consuming.
  • Gouku (Goku)
Located on Snow Island, requiring Cid and Aizen first. You’ll need 10 Dragon Orbs and complete several combat-heavy trials. These include using I Am Atomic and Hado 90 multiple times, defeating thousands of enemies, and landing 5,000 hits with fists. This is clearly one of the final abilities to aim for.

Unlocking every spec in Ultimate Pirate Piece takes time, and there’s no shortcut around most of these grinds. The game is designed so each upgrade builds on the previous one, meaning you’ll often need earlier specs before unlocking stronger ones later. If you want smoother progression, focus on getting Ichigo and Cid early since they are required for many advanced specs. From there, work your way toward abilities like Aizen and Goku while farming materials on the side. With a clear path, the grind feels much more manageable and you won’t waste time chasing the wrong requirements.
