The latest Bridger: WESTERN update introduced a brand-new outlaw activity that lets players rob banks for huge amounts of Moola and possibly even earn rare Stand Arrows. Unlike bounty hunting, this feature is designed specifically for outlaw players, giving criminals a powerful new way to make money while causing chaos across town.
Bank robberies can be extremely rewarding, especially for players looking for faster income methods. However, the process requires preparation, explosives, and a quick escape plan if you want to survive the robbery successfully.
How to Start a Bank Robbery in Bridger: WESTERN
Before robbing a bank, you must first become an outlaw since only outlaw players can access the robbery system. Once you are ready, head to the Outlaw Hideout. Inside the hideout, you will find the Arms Dealer NPC, who appears as a vampire-like character. This NPC sells the explosive required for bank robberies. The item you need is called the Makeshift Explosive.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Travel to the Outlaw Hideout
- Find the Arms Dealer inside one of the buildings
- Purchase the Makeshift Explosive for 1,000 Moola
- Bring the explosive to the bank in town
Without this explosive, you cannot start the robbery event.
How to Rob the Main Bank Vault
After buying the Makeshift Explosive, head back to town and enter the bank. The main vault inside the bank is the primary target for robberies. Before placing the explosive, it is highly recommended to leave your horse outside the bank. Once the robbery begins, you will need to escape quickly, so keeping your horse nearby saves a lot of time. To begin the robbery:
- Walk near the main vault
- Place the Makeshift Explosive beside it
- Wait for the vault to explode
Once activated, the robbery immediately alerts nearby lawmen. Alarms will start going off, and players may begin hunting you down. After the explosion finishes, the vault opens and allows you to collect stolen money. Players also gain bounty during the robbery process. In the example shown, the robbery added +15 bounty instantly.
How to Deliver the Stolen Money
After collecting cash from the vault, your character carries a large money bag on their back. At this point, your goal is to safely return to the Arms Dealer at the Outlaw Hideout.
Simply ride back to the hideout and speak to the Arms Dealer again to turn in the stolen money.
Successful robberies can reward massive payouts. In one robbery example, the player earned over 6,200 Moola from a single run, making bank robbing one of the best money-making methods currently available in Bridger: WESTERN.
Can You Get Stand Arrows From Bank Robberies?
One of the biggest reasons players are farming robberies is the rumored Stand Arrow reward chance.
According to players and update information, turning in stolen money may occasionally reward a Stand Arrow. However, the exact drop rate is still unknown.
Unlike bounty hunting, where higher bounties improve your chances of getting arrows, the robbery system does not currently show a clear formula. Some players believe larger payouts may increase the odds, while others think it is entirely random.
Right now, there is no confirmed guaranteed method for obtaining arrows through robberies.
Are Smaller Vaults Robbable?
While exploring town, players may notice smaller vaults hidden in different buildings around the map. Unfortunately, these vaults currently cannot be blown open using the Makeshift Explosive.
Testing with regular dynamite also appears to have no effect. As of now, only the main bank vault can be robbed successfully.
Still, many players believe smaller vaults could become usable in future updates.
Bank Robbery Cooldown Explained
After completing a robbery, the game places the system on cooldown before another robbery can begin. The exact cooldown timer is still unclear, but players will receive a message stating that “Bank robberies are on cooldown” when attempting another robbery too soon. Because of this, players may want to combine robberies with bounty hunting or other outlaw activities while waiting for the cooldown to end.
The bank robbery feature is easily one of the most exciting additions added to Bridger: WESTERN so far. It gives outlaw players a completely new activity that combines risk, fast money, and possible rare rewards all in one system. Even though the Stand Arrow chances are still unclear, the massive Moola payouts alone already make robberies worth doing. For now, bank robberies appear to be one of the strongest money farming methods in the game, especially for players who enjoy outlaw gameplay and high-risk activities.
