The secret Reaper Race has finally become obtainable in Sailor Piece, and it is easily one of the hardest race evolutions currently available in the game. Unlike normal race upgrades, this evolution requires multiple long trials, RNG boss drops, Kraken farming, and even deathless raid completions.
A lot of players are wasting hours because they are doing the challenges inefficiently or missing important requirements. If you want to unlock Reaper as fast as possible, here is the full guide covering every trial, the best farming methods, and tips to make the grind easier.
You Must Use Wraith Race First
Before starting anything, you absolutely need to equip the Wraith Race. This is extremely important because:
- Trial progress only counts while using Wraith
- Kills and raid completions will not register on other races
- Many players accidentally waste progress by forgetting this requirement
So before beginning the grind, make sure your active race is Wraith.
Where to Start the Reaper Evolution
Once you have Wraith equipped, head to:
- Slayer Island
- Located in C2
On Slayer Island, you will find the Reaper NPC. Talking to this NPC begins the Reaper evolution questline and unlocks all four trials required for the evolution.
Trial 1 – Defeat 1,500 NPCs
The first challenge requires:
- 1,500 NPC kills while using Wraith
This sounds simple, but it can take a long time if you farm inefficiently. Instead of fighting random enemies across the map, focus on grouped NPC spawns with fast respawn timers. Some of the better farming targets include:
- Strong Slayers
- Spirit Fighters
These enemies are close together and easy to chain kill with AoE abilities.
Trial 2 – Collect the Three Soul Drops
The second trial is where the real grind begins. You need to collect three rare soul drops:
- Warrior Soul from Spirit Warrior
- Ancient Soul from Cosmic Being or Sun Incarnate
- Time Soul from The World Boss
Unfortunately, all three are RNG drops. Drop rates are fairly low, meaning some players may get lucky quickly while others spend hours farming bosses repeatedly. This is currently considered one of the most frustrating parts of the Reaper evolution.
Trial 3 – Defeat 10 Krakens
The third challenge requires:
- Killing 10 Krakens while using Wraith
This trial is more time-consuming than difficult.
Trial 4 – Complete 10 Raids Without Dying
This is easily the hardest part of the Reaper evolution. You must:
- Complete 10 raids
- Stay alive the entire time
- Keep Wraith equipped during every run
If you die during a raid, the run does not count. The biggest issue is random teammates. Weak raid groups can completely ruin your progress, especially during harder waves or boss phases. Because of this, survival becomes much more important than damage.
How to Unlock Reaper Race
After finishing all four trials:
- Keep Wraith equipped
- Return to the Reaper NPC on Slayer Island
- Talk to the NPC again
Once completed, your Wraith Race will evolve into the secret Reaper Race.
The Reaper Race is currently one of the hardest secret evolutions in Sailor Piece. Between the 1,500 NPC kills, RNG soul drops, Kraken farming, and 10 deathless raids, this grind can easily take a very long time if you are unprepared. However, with proper farming routes, luck boosts, good teammates, and efficient grinding methods, you can complete the evolution much faster than most players.
