Fisch continues to add rare materials and hidden fishing spots that players need for special rods and bestiary completion. One of the more important materials currently available is the Glacial Fragment, an item connected to the Lullaby Rod questline and the Snowburrow bestiary.
While the material can be difficult to locate at first, catching it becomes much easier once you understand where to fish and which rods work best. Here is a full guide explaining how to unlock Snowburrow, where to find Glacial Fragments, and what they are used for.

Where to Find Glacial Fragments
Glacial Fragments are found inside Snowburrow, which is a hidden sublocation connected to Snowcap Island in Fisch. To access Snowburrow, head to the Snowcap Cave area first. Inside the cave, you will notice several visible cracks on the wall and ceiling. Interacting with all three cracks opens a hidden entrance leading into Snowburrow. After opening the entrance, the door only stays available for around 30 seconds before closing again, so enter quickly before the path disappears.
- Once inside Snowburrow, head toward the lower corners of the area. You will find several fishing pools where Glacial Fragments can appear.
- The material belongs to the Fragment rarity category, which means it has fairly high catch requirements compared to regular fish and materials.
- Because of this, using a strong fishing rod with high Luck stats is highly recommended.
Best Rods for Catching Glacial Fragments
Several rods work particularly well for farming Glacial Fragments in Fisch. Some of the better options include:
- No-Life Rod
- Ethereal Prism Rod
- Nate’s Blade
Any rod with strong Luck stats should help improve your chances significantly.
The good news is that Glacial Fragments are not too difficult to reel in after hooking them. The material has:
- 100 Resilience
- 10% Progress Speed bonus
Because of the Progress Speed bonus, the main challenge is simply getting the catch to appear in the first place.
What Are Glacial Fragments Used For?
Currently, Glacial Fragments have two important uses in Fisch.
1. Lullaby Rod Quest
The material is required for the fifth quest connected to the Lullaby Rod. Fortunately, players only need one Glacial Fragment to complete this step, so the farming process is not too long unless luck becomes an issue.
2. Snowburrow Bestiary
Glacial Fragments are also needed for completing the Snowburrow bestiary. The area contains 22 total fish and materials, and Glacial Fragments count as one of the rarer entries. Since bestiary completion requires every entry, you cannot skip this material if you want 100% completion for the zone.
Is Glacial Fragment Rare?
Glacial Fragments are considered fairly rare, roughly similar to Legendary-tier catches in terms of appearance rate. However, they are still much easier to obtain compared to some Exotic fish available in Snowburrow. In fact, many players end up catching Glacial Fragments naturally while searching for the Exotic White Sturgeon, which is currently one of the rarest catches in the area.
If you want to farm Glacial Fragments efficiently in Fisch, focus on improving your Luck stat before entering Snowburrow. Using stronger rods and spending longer fishing sessions inside the hidden area will greatly increase your chances. Since you only need one fragment for the Lullaby Rod quest, most players should be able to finish the requirement fairly quickly once they unlock access to Snowburrow and start fishing in the correct pools.
