Anime Vanguards Update 12.5 introduced several new rewards, events, and units for players to grind. One of the biggest additions from the update is the Strongest Shinobi, a powerful Secret-tier unit inspired by Might Guy from Naruto. This unit is tied to the new Eternal Tyrant Gamemode and requires players to survive deep into the challenge before unlocking it. After obtaining the unit, players can further evolve it into the stronger Martial version using several rare materials. What Is Strongest Shinobi?

Strongest Shinobi is a Secret-rarity unit added during Update 12.5 on May 10, 2026, in Anime Vanguards. The character is heavily inspired by Might Guy and focuses on powerful critical attacks, follow-up strikes, and high damage buffs. Once evolved into the Martial version, the unit becomes even stronger thanks to several passive abilities that boost damage output over time. Because of its strong scaling and crit-focused abilities, many players already consider it one of the best Secret units introduced recently.

How to Unlock Strongest Shinobi

To get Strongest Shinobi, players must clear Wave 45 in the Eternal Tyrant Gamemode.

Step 1: Find the Spring Event NPC

After loading into the lobby, head toward the center area and interact with the Spring Gamemode NPC. This NPC gives access to the Eternal Tyrant mode added during Update 12.5.

Step 2: Enter Eternal Tyrant Mode

Create a lobby with teammates or queue into a match. Once the game begins, you will receive a pre-made deck containing several powerful units. Since this is an Endless-style challenge, proper placement and timing are extremely important if you want to survive until Wave 45.

Step 3: Clear Wave 45

Successfully reaching and clearing Wave 45 rewards players with the Strongest Shinobi unit. This can take multiple attempts depending on team coordination and unit placement, especially during later waves where enemies become significantly stronger.

How to Evolve Strongest Shinobi

After unlocking the unit, players can evolve it into Strongest Shinobi (Martial), which unlocks stronger stats and additional passive effects. However, you first need to gather several materials. To evolve Strongest Shinobi into its Martial form in Anime Vanguards, you need:

• 1x Sentimental Scarf: Go to the Events area, Interact with the St. Itchas NPC, Spend 10,000 Flower26 currency
• 1x Shamrock
• 30x Green Essence
• 30x Yellow Essence
• 30x Red Essence
• 3x Rainbow Essence

Once you collect all required items, head to the Evolve area and complete the evolution process.

Strongest Shinobi (Martial) Stats

Here are the base stats for the evolved Martial version:

• Damage: 2.40k
• SPA: 4.5 seconds
• Range: 16.5

The unit specializes in rapid critical hits combined with stacking damage buffs.

Strongest Shinobi Passive Abilities

Power of Youth

When placed using Ninjutsu, this passive increases crit rate by 100% for 30 seconds. After triggering five times, the bonus becomes permanent. Critical hits also:

• Ignore damage reduction
• Bypass shields
• Deal stronger follow-up crit damage

This makes the unit especially strong against tanky enemies.

Declared The Strongest

Basic attack critical hits trigger extra follow-up attacks. Each follow-up increases overall damage by 5%, stacking up to 50%. Over long fights, this passive can massively increase total DPS.

8th Gate

Upon placement, the unit gains a 100% damage buff. Every attack slightly reduces the buff, but in exchange, enemies within range are inflicted with Burn damage over time equal to 50% of the unit’s damage for eight seconds. This allows the unit to continue dealing strong AoE pressure even after the initial buff decreases.

For players grinding high-level content in Anime Vanguards, Strongest Shinobi is definitely worth unlocking. Its crit-focused gameplay, stacking buffs, and burn effects make it extremely strong for Endless-style battles and difficult event stages.
