The new crossover between Fortnite and Overwatch has officially arrived, bringing a fresh set of limited-time quests for players to complete. The event introduces missions inspired by popular Overwatch heroes including Mercy, Tracer, D.Va, and Genji, along with several free cosmetics and large amounts of XP rewards.

This special collaboration event is called “Answer the Call,” and it is currently active during Chapter 7 Season 2. Players can complete themed challenges tied to each Overwatch character while unlocking banners, emoticons, back blings, and even a special pickaxe. Since the quests release gradually every few days, there is plenty of time to finish everything before the event ends around June 5, 2026.

What Is the Fortnite Overwatch Event?

The Fortnite x Overwatch collaboration adds multiple quest lines based on different heroes from Overwatch. Every hero comes with around seven or eight quests, and each completed challenge rewards players with 5,000 XP. Finishing an entire quest line also unlocks an exclusive cosmetic item.

At the moment, Mercy’s challenges are already available in-game, while Tracer, D.Va, and Genji quests will unlock over time. New quest sets are expected to release every five days, so players should continue checking the quest tab regularly.

For players trying to level up their Battle Pass quickly, this event is one of the easiest XP farms currently available in Chapter 7 Season 2.

Mercy’s Guardian Angel Quests

Main Reward: Overwatch Banner Mercy’s quests mainly focus on healing teammates, survival, and support gameplay. Most of these challenges can easily be completed while playing squads with friends.

  • Hire a Specialist in Squads Simply recruit an NPC specialist while playing squad matches. You can usually find hireable characters at named locations around the island.
  • Restore 100 Health Use healing items or healing abilities to recover health for yourself or teammates. Medkits, bandages, and healing weapons all count toward progress.
  • Survive 120 Seconds With Full Health and Shields The easiest way to complete this challenge is by avoiding early fights. Land somewhere quiet, fully heal, and stay safe for two minutes.
  • Gain 300 Shields During Daytime Drink shield potions or use shield items while daytime is active in the match cycle.
  • Revive or Be Revived 5 Times This challenge does not need to be completed in one game. Players can intentionally get knocked down and revive teammates across multiple matches.
  • Assist With 3 Eliminations Tag enemies with damage before your squad finishes them off. Team fights make this challenge very easy.
  • Collect 15 Healing Items Pick up healing supplies like Medkits, Bandages, Shield Potions, and Slurp items around the map.
  • Deal 250 Airborne Damage Use mobility items like Overdrive Grenades to launch yourself into the air before shooting enemies.

Tracer’s Blink and Recall Quests

Main Reward: Overwatch Emoticon Tracer’s challenges focus heavily on movement, fast fights, and aggressive gameplay styles.

  • Defeat 2 Bosses in Squads Team up with your squad and take down any boss characters found on the island.
  • Travel 100 Meters Within 10 Seconds of Taking Damage After getting hit by an enemy, immediately sprint, slide, or use movement items to cover distance quickly.
  • Collect 10 Rare or Legendary Items Search chests, loot vaults, and defeat enemies to gather high-rarity items across several matches.
  • Deal 250 Damage Within 10 Meters Shotguns work best here since the challenge requires close-range combat.
  • Hit With Two Weapons in 3 Seconds Swap between two weapons rapidly during fights. A shotgun followed by an SMG is the easiest combo.
  • Visit 12 Named Locations Rotate through different POIs over multiple games until the challenge is complete.
  • Gain 250 Effective HP Heal and shield yourself regularly during matches to increase your total effective health.
  • Deal 750 Damage With Pistols or SMGs Use pistols and SMGs consistently throughout matches to complete this challenge naturally.

D.Va’s MEKA Quests

Main Reward: Pachimari Plush Back Bling D.Va’s quests include vehicles, combat, and survival-based objectives.

  • Eliminate 3 Players While Using the Jam Track Player Play music using the Jam Track feature and earn eliminations while the song is active.
  • Hit a Player With a Vehicle Drive into an opponent using any car or vehicle found around the map.
  • Land 10 Headshots Scoped rifles and accurate weapons make this challenge much easier to finish.
  • Eliminate 2 Players After Eating Food Consume food items before entering a fight and quickly eliminate opponents afterward.
  • Reach Top 5 Play carefully, avoid unnecessary fights, and survive into the late game.
  • Deal or Receive 2,500 Damage This challenge progresses naturally while fighting enemies across multiple matches.
  • Deal 250 Damage With Pistols or Shotguns Use close-range weapons consistently while playing normal matches.
  • Travel 500 Meters While Boosting Find a vehicle and hold the boost button while driving along open roads.

Genji’s Swift Strike Quests

Main Reward: Reinhardt’s Rocket Hammer Pickaxe Genji’s challenges are more combat-heavy and reward aggressive players.

  • Damage 50 Enemies With Melee Weapons Use melee weapons like the Reforged Infinity Blade or even your pickaxe against enemies.
  • Request Healing 3 Times Use the in-game communication wheel to ask teammates for healing.
  • Reach Top 10 in 2 Matches Survive until the final stages of two separate games.
  • Eliminate 4 Players With Legendary, Exotic, or Mythic Weapons Focus on collecting powerful high-tier weapons before pushing enemies.
  • Hit 5 Enemies Without Switching Weapons Stick with one weapon during fights so accidental swaps do not reset progress.
  • Collect 10 Weapons From Eliminated Players Pick up weapons dropped by defeated enemies after eliminations.
  • Eliminate 12 Opponents Simply continue playing matches aggressively until the total reaches twelve eliminations.

Best Rewards From the Fortnite Overwatch Event

While all the rewards are worth collecting, the biggest highlights are definitely the Pachimari Plush Back Bling and Reinhardt’s Rocket Hammer Pickaxe. The hammer especially stands out because of its unique design and strong connection to Overwatch fans. Players who enjoy Overwatch-themed cosmetics should make sure to finish every available quest line before the event disappears.

The Fortnite x Overwatch “Answer the Call” event is expected to stay live until early June 2026, giving players several weeks to unlock all free cosmetics and XP rewards. Since new challenges release every few days, checking the game regularly is the best way to avoid missing any limited-time content.
