The latest Jujutsu Zero update adds several important features that make progression much better for both new and late-game players. The biggest part of the update is the brand-new passive system, including Reverse Cursed Technique and Infinity Aura. Both passives are extremely powerful and can completely change how your build performs during grinding, raids, and boss fights.
Besides the new passives, the update also increases the level cap, adds new grades, improves the map system, and makes rank progression easier overall. If you are wondering what to focus on first, this guide will explain everything you need to know.
What is Reverse Cursed Technique in Jujutsu Zero?
Reverse Cursed Technique, also called RCT, is one of the new passive abilities added in the update. When activated, it slowly heals your character over time. However, the passive also drains your cursed energy while active, so you need to manage your energy carefully during fights.
This passive is very useful for survivability, especially during long boss battles and difficult raids. Since it constantly heals your HP, it can help reduce the need for defensive playstyles. The best part about RCT is that it is easier to unlock compared to Infinity Aura, making it the recommended first passive for most players.
How to Unlock Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT)
To start unlocking RCT, your character must be at least Level 500. Once you reach the requirement, talk to the RCT Trainer NPC to begin the quest line.
The RCT quest line has three main quests:
First Quest
The first quest is simple and only requires you to find and collect a specific item. It is mostly a quick exploration task and should not take very long.
Second Quest
The second quest is another collection mission. Similar to the first one, you only need to locate an item and return it to the trainer.
Third Quest
The final quest is much harder. You need to defeat a special boss that only takes base damage while also dealing percent HP damage to players. Because of this, strong cursed techniques and good status effects are highly recommended. After completing the final quest, you will receive one Reversal material as a reward.
RCT Passive Requirements
Once you finish the quest line, you still need to unlock the passive through the Passive Ability Exchange NPC. To get Reverse Cursed Technique, you need:
- 1 Reversal
- 1 Heavenly Fragment
- 500,000 Yen
Compared to Infinity Aura, this cost is much cheaper and easier to farm.
What is Infinity Aura?
Infinity Aura is the second new passive ability in Jujutsu Zero. Unlike RCT, this passive focuses more on offense and crowd control. When activated, Infinity Aura stuns enemies around your character while also dealing damage in an area. The passive also has strong synergy with Limitless builds thanks to its additional damage amplification. Just like RCT, Infinity Aura constantly drains cursed energy while active.
How to Unlock Infinity Aura
Infinity Aura is considered a late-game passive because the requirements are much harder. Before starting the quest line, you must:
- Reach Level 1500
- Complete the entire RCT quest line first
After meeting the requirements, talk to the Infinity Trainer NPC.
First Quest
The first task requires you to earn 1,000 points. Strong area damage cursed techniques are recommended here because you need to clear enemies quickly.
Many players suggest using Limitless builds since they perform very well for farming large groups.
Second Quest
The second mission is another collection task where you need to find a specific item.
Third Quest
The final quest requires defeating a special mini-boss NPC. This boss has a 5% chance to drop the Reversal material needed for Infinity Aura.
Unlike the RCT quest line, the drop is not guaranteed. This means you may need to farm the boss multiple times before getting enough materials.
Infinity Aura Requirements
To unlock Infinity Aura through the Passive Ability Exchange NPC, you need:
- 3 Reversals
- 2 Domain Fragments
- 1 Extra Limitless
- 10 Million Yen
This makes Infinity Aura one of the most expensive and grind-heavy passives currently in the game.
New Progression Changes in the Update
The update also improves progression in several ways.
New Level Cap
The maximum level has increased from 6,666 to 10,000. This gives players much more room for grinding and character growth.
New Grades Added
New grades from Calamity up to Calamity 4 have been added. This gives endgame players more progression goals to work toward.
Easier Sorcerer Rankups
Sorcerer grade requirements were reduced, making progression smoother overall. Many players struggled with older rank requirements, so this is a major quality-of-life improvement.
New Quality of Life Features
Several helpful UI and map changes were also added in the update.
Improved Map Filters
The new map filter system allows players to toggle pins for:
- NPC Quests
- Raids
- Special NPCs
You can also hide older quests to make the map cleaner and easier to read.
Smarter Map Pins
Map markers now use level detection, meaning only the closest level-relevant objectives appear on the map. This helps reduce clutter while leveling.
Mastery Tree Notifications
The game now shows notifications whenever a new mastery node becomes available. This makes it easier to know when your build can progress further.
Additional notifications for raids, gear drops, and quests were also improved.
New Jujutsu Zero Codes
The update also adds new redeem codes that give free rewards. Here are the newest codes:
- 17KCCU – Rewards include Lumens and Clan Rolls
- 17KLIKES – Gives 3,500 Lumens and 35 Clan Rolls
Make sure to redeem them quickly before they expire.
What Should You Focus on First?
For most players, the best choice is starting with Reverse Cursed Technique first. The level requirement is much lower, the quest line is easier, and you receive a guaranteed Reversal material after completion. Infinity Aura should be your long-term goal if you are using a Limitless build or want one of the strongest endgame passives currently available. With the higher level cap, smoother progression system, and new passive abilities, this update is one of the biggest progression-focused updates Jujutsu Zero has received so far.
