What Are Yin and Yang Ores?
Yin Ore and Yang Ore are rare crafting materials introduced alongside the new Ore Crafting system. Unlike regular mining ores, these materials do not come from rocks. Instead, players must defeat specific enemies found within the Spirit Cave area. Once both materials have been collected, they can be combined through the Ore Crafter to create Yin Yang Ore.
This crafted material is then used as part of the requirement for purchasing the Yin-Yang Pickaxe. Because of this connection, Yin and Yang Ores are among the most valuable resources in the current update.
Where to Find Yin Ore
Yin Ore is dropped by a special enemy known as the Pale Oni.
Yin Ore Farming Location

To obtain Yin Ore, head into the Spirit Cave and look for Pale Oni enemies roaming throughout the area. Defeat as many as possible until the ore drops. Since the drop chance is relatively low, don’t expect to get it immediately. Some players may receive it after only a few kills, while others might need considerably more attempts. Where to Find Yang Ore
Yang Ore comes from a different enemy located in the same region.

Spirit Golems can be found throughout the Spirit Cave and are the only known source of Yang Ore.
The farming process is similar to Yin Ore. Continue defeating Spirit Golems until the ore eventually drops. Since both ores have the same drop chance, you may end up collecting one much faster than the other depending on your luck.
How to Unlock Spirit Cave
Before farming Yin and Yang Ores, you’ll need access to Spirit Cave. The cave is located in World 4 and can be reached by descending through the holes found in the area. Continue traveling downward through each level until you reach the cave itself.
The Spirit Cave was expanded during the Crafting Update and now contains enemies, crystals, resources, and several important progression features. Players who have reached World 4 should have no trouble accessing the area.
How to Craft Yin Yang Ore
Once you’ve collected both Yin Ore and Yang Ore, visit the Ore Crafter NPC. The Ore Crafter can be found near the forge area and becomes available starting from World 2.

After selecting the recipe, the materials will be combined into a single Yin Yang Ore.
This special ore is required before you can purchase the Yin-Yang Pickaxe.
