A Universal Time Update 5.9 has officially arrived, bringing a major rework to one of the game’s most iconic stands. The update focuses heavily on The World, giving it a completely refreshed moveset, a new mastery progression system, and additional content tied to DIO. The World Receives a Full Rework

The biggest feature of Update 5.9 is the complete overhaul of The World.

The stand now features an entirely new combat kit focused on aggressive melee attacks, knife-based abilities, and improved Time Stop gameplay. Players can chain together powerful combos, reposition during stopped time, and finish opponents with devastating attacks inspired by the anime.

The goal of the rework is to modernize The World and make it more competitive while keeping its classic identity intact.

Players who already own The World do not need to unlock it again, as the obtainment method remains unchanged.

How to Get The World

The method for obtaining The World has not changed in Update 5.9. Players can still complete the “Him” Quest to unlock the stand, just like before the update. Once obtained, you’ll immediately gain access to the newly reworked abilities and progression system.

The World Mastery System

A new mastery system has been added exclusively for The World. Players can increase mastery levels by obtaining Enya’s Arrow and using it on The World. Every arrow advances mastery by one level and unlocks new abilities or upgrades.

How to Get Enya’s Arrow

Update 5.9 introduces a brand-new item called Enya’s Arrow.

• Drop Chance: 5%

This item is required to level up The World’s mastery system. Players who want to unlock all mastery rewards will need to repeatedly farm the DIO boss and collect multiple arrows. Because of its relatively low drop rate, expect to spend some time farming if you’re aiming for Mastery 7.

New Unusual Sacrifice System

Another major addition is the Unusual Sacrifice feature available through the Unusual Merchant. This new system gives players a chance to obtain rare Black or White Unusual variants of premium skins.

Unusual Sacrifice Requirements

To perform a sacrifice, players must provide:

• 10 premium skins
• All skins must be identical
• Every skin must have a unique pattern
• No duplicate patterns allowed

For example, sacrificing ten Homelander skins with different patterns qualifies for the process. Once all requirements are met, players receive a 50/50 chance of obtaining either a Black Unusual or White Unusual version of that skin. This feature gives collectors another method of pursuing some of the rarest cosmetics in the game.

Existing The World Variants Remain

Players who owned previous versions of The World’s abilities before the update do not need to worry. According to the update notes, older The World abilities and variants will remain inside player inventories. This ensures that longtime players do not lose content they previously earned.

A Universal Time Update 5.9 may not be the largest content update in terms of quantity, but it significantly improves one of the game’s most iconic stands. The World now has a fresh moveset, a rewarding mastery progression system, and several powerful unlockable abilities.
