The latest Campfire Update has arrived in Grow a Garden, bringing a brand-new crafting system, exclusive pets, fresh seeds, new tools, and plenty of rewards to unlock. While this update isn’t as massive as previous events like Bizzy Bee or Easter, it still adds plenty of content for players who enjoy collecting pets, farming resources, and expanding their gardens. If you’re wondering how the Campfire Event works and what rewards are worth getting, here’s everything you need to know.
How the Campfire Event Works
The center of this update is the Campfire Workshop. Players can contribute fruits and crops to the campfire to generate Embers, which are used to level up the fire and unlock crafting tiers.
To start, simply hold a fruit and throw it into the campfire. Each fruit provides a certain amount of Embers depending on its rarity and value. Larger and rarer crops will generate more Embers, allowing you to level up the campfire faster.
The campfire has five tiers in total. As you continue feeding it, the fire grows stronger and unlocks additional crafting recipes. However, the fire level will slowly decrease if nobody continues contributing crops, so make sure to keep it fueled. A Tier 5 Campfire also provides a crafting speed bonus, making it much easier to create multiple items quickly.

New Seeds Added in the Campfire Update
Several new plants have been introduced during this event.
Fire Pit Flower
The Fire Pit Flower is one of the first new plants available through the crafting system. It features a fiery appearance that matches the theme of the event. Current testing values show it selling for around 18,000 Shekels per harvest, though this may change in future updates.
Hearth Reed
Hearth Reed becomes available at Tier 4 and offers better profits than the Fire Pit Flower. Estimated selling prices:
- Small harvest: around 40,000 Shekels
- Medium harvest: around 60,000 Shekels
- Large harvest: around 85,000 Shekels
This makes it a decent option for players looking to earn money while participating in the event.
Firefly Spiral
The Firefly Spiral is the premium plant of the update. Its special ability automatically applies one of several fire-themed mutations to nearby fruits every few minutes, making it useful for mutation farming. Estimated selling prices:
- Small harvest: around 162,000 Shekels
- Medium harvest: around 230,000 Shekels
- Large harvest: around 300,000 Shekels
Although expensive, it can become a valuable long-term investment.
All Campfire Egg and New Pets
The Campfire Egg introduces four new pets with unique abilities.
Cicada
- Drop Rate: 50%
The Cicada periodically lands on a plant and accelerates its growth for a short duration. This pet is useful for players who want crops to mature faster without constantly using growth items.
Ant
- Drop Rate: 35%
The Ant increases fruit duplication chances when harvesting crops. It also provides bonus duplication rates for summer-themed crops, making it a solid farming companion.
Nightjar
- Drop Rate: 9.5%
The Nightjar consumes Moonlight-mutated fruits and provides boosts to random pets in your garden. It can increase passive bonuses and experience gains, making it valuable for pet progression.
Fire Wisp
- Drop Rate: 0.5%
The Fire Wisp is the rarest pet in the Campfire Egg.
Its abilities include:
- Chance to apply the Ember mutation to plants
- Chance to grant Ember Pet Mutation to level 100 pets
The Ember Pet Mutation provides:
- +32% XP gain
- +32% Passive bonus
This currently makes it one of the strongest pet mutations available in the game.
Energy Chew Returns
The Energy Chew item is back and remains one of the most useful consumables. Its effect instantly refreshes a pet’s cooldown timer, allowing you to activate powerful pet abilities more frequently. Players who rely on passive farming pets should consider crafting several of these whenever possible.
Paradise Egg Returns
The Paradise Egg has also returned through the Campfire Workshop. This egg contains the popular Mimic Octopus and can now be crafted instead of purchased through trading. Required materials include:
- Regular Egg
- Mythical Egg
- Grandmaster Sprinkler
- Gold Ingot
- Shekels
For players who missed this pet previously, this is an excellent opportunity to obtain it.
What Does the Area Reclaimer Do?
One of the most useful additions in the update is the Area Reclaimer. Instead of removing plants one at a time, this tool allows you to reclaim multiple crops within a selected area. Benefits include:
- Faster garden cleanup
- Easier plot redesigns
- Saves significant time for large farms
Players with heavily populated gardens will likely find this tool extremely useful.
Fastest Way to Farm Resources
Most crafting recipes require seeds, eggs, tools, and large amounts of Shekels. To progress quickly:
- Focus on maintaining a Tier 5 Campfire.
- Use valuable crops when generating Embers.
- Stockpile common seeds like Coconut, Pepper, and Beanstalk.
- Craft multiple items simultaneously using all available crafting slots.
- Collect Summer Eggs and Campfire Eggs whenever possible.
The more resources you gather, the faster you’ll be able to unlock every reward in the event.
The Campfire Update may be smaller than previous Grow a Garden events, but it still introduces several useful features. The new crafting workshop gives players a new progression system, while the Campfire Egg offers some surprisingly strong pets, especially the Fire Wisp. Between the Firefly Spiral, Area Reclaimer, Paradise Egg, and new pet lineup, there are plenty of reasons to participate in the event. Keeping your campfire at Tier 5 and consistently gathering crafting materials will help you unlock everything much faster before the next major update arrives.
