Catch and Tame Boss Pets Guide – All Spawn Locations and How to Catch Them Solo

Boss Pets are some of the most valuable and challenging creatures to collect in Catch and Tame. Unlike regular pets, Boss Pets require players to locate special boss encounters across different islands before they can be added to their collection. If you’re trying to complete the Boss Pet Index, knowing where each boss appears can save you a lot of time. This guide covers every Boss Pet currently available in Catch and Tame, including their spawn locations and a useful method that allows you to catch Boss Pets without needing another player.

All Boss Pet Spawn Locations in Catch and Tame

As of Update 29, there are 12 Boss Pets available throughout the game. Most of them appear on specific islands, while a few require special conditions or locations to find.

King Seal

King Seal can be found on Starter Island. It is one of the first Boss Pets many players encounter while exploring the game.

King Kraken

King Kraken spawns on Forgotten Depths Island. This powerful boss is one of the most popular targets for players looking to expand their collection.

King Shadow Owl

Players can find King Shadow Owl on Cave Island. Make sure to search the island carefully whenever the boss is active.

Skeleton Hydra

Skeleton Hydra appears on Dragon Island. Due to its unique design and rarity, it is one of the more desirable Boss Pets to obtain.

Fire Ant Queen

Fire Ant Queen spawns on Volcano Island. Be prepared to explore the dangerous volcanic area while searching for this boss.

War Elephant

War Elephant can be found on Safari Island. This massive boss stands out from many of the other creatures available in the game.

Hadopelagic Whale

Hadopelagic Whale spawns within the Abyss area of Forgotten Depths. Reaching this location may require additional exploration compared to standard island bosses.

Dreadnought Whale

Another Abyss-exclusive boss is Dreadnought Whale. It shares the Forgotten Depths Abyss region with several other rare creatures.

Colossal Mammoth

Colossal Mammoth appears on Ice Island. If you’re farming the snowy region, keep an eye out for this giant boss.

Alien Skeleton Boss

Alien Skeleton Boss only appears on Alien Island during the Abducted Weather Event. At the moment, this boss is currently unobtainable.

Nectar Colossus

Nectar Colossus spawns on Bee Island. This boss is tied to one of the most important islands in the game due to its enchanting features.

Alabaster Whale

Alabaster Whale is unique because it can only be obtained through fishing on Lost Docks Island. Standard boss hunting methods won’t work for this one.

How Boss Pets Normally Work

Under normal conditions, Boss Pets require teamwork. Players must work together to defeat the boss, and once the encounter is completed successfully, every participating player receives the corresponding Boss Pet. Because of this system, many players rely on public servers or friends to help them secure Boss Pet rewards.

How to Catch Boss Pets Solo

If you prefer playing alone or on a private server, there is a way to bypass the partner requirement. You’ll need to obtain the Boss Catcher enchant for your Lasso. The Boss Catcher enchant allows you to capture Boss Pets by yourself, making it one of the most useful upgrades for solo players. Once you have it equipped, you no longer need another player to help with boss encounters.

How to Get the Boss Catcher Enchant

To unlock the Boss Catcher enchant, follow these steps:

  1. Travel to Bee Island.
  2. Enter the mountain area.
  3. If the gate is locked, catch Worker Bees to obtain the required key.
  4. Head to the center of the mountain.
  5. Interact with the Enchant Table to open the enchanting menu.
  6. Select the Lasso you want to upgrade.
  7. Spend Cash to roll for enchantments until you get Boss Catcher.

There is also another Enchanting Table located on Cave Island. To access it, you’ll need to find and collect five hidden TNT pieces scattered throughout the cave tunnels before opening the entrance.

Boss Pets are among the most rewarding creatures to collect in Catch and Tame. Whether you’re hunting King Kraken in Forgotten Depths, tracking down Nectar Colossus on Bee Island, or fishing for the rare Alabaster Whale, knowing the correct spawn locations can make the process much easier.

For players who prefer to play solo, obtaining the Boss Catcher enchant should be a top priority. It removes the need for a partner and allows you to farm Boss Pets whenever they appear, making it one of the best upgrades available for dedicated collectors.
